First of all, if it was 4 deep zone, then Roy would of had to take the inside WR that was running the post. Or is he suppose to let him run free?
Who said it was a 4 deep zone? It was a two deep, we were in a 5 DB set and the 3 corners were manned up and the 2 safeties were in deep zone on opposite sides of the field. RW responsibility was Moss' side.
Second of all, Adam has already informed you that it wasn't a zone defense. Just cuz Roy left his man to help out, doesn't mean it was his responsibility.
Adam is wrong. If RW had left his man, he wouldnt have had time to get to where he was, he simply would have had to much ground to cover. RW underestimates Moss' speed, then shows poor technique by turning over his right shoulder instead of his left shoulder when he tries to retreat. In the video, he is clearly seen watching both Newman's man and Glenn's man (Moss) and when the ball was thrown to Moss, the deepest WR at the time, he tried to provide help. Problem was, he wasnt deep enough, then compunded the issue by turning the wrong way.
