Not to take away from the main objectives we have in FA but what do you guys think of giving Wisniewski s look as a guard or guard/center backup? He would probably be an upgrade over Bernie.

Could be worth a look-see since Mackenzy Bernadeau is in his last year under contract. But like you said, there's more pressing concerns for this team at the moment.

I like Wisniewski but I think he has to be a Center. In that scenario, I think you might have to consider moving Fredbeard to Guard. I don't know if we would want to do that or not and then there is the question of what that might coast. I like him but I don't know if we might be willing to do those kinds of things.

He is being considered by Seattle to replace Unger. He is not going to take a backup role.

I agree. And like ABQ said he would need to play center here and this team is not going to dislodge Fredbeard to guard for Wisniewski.
I certainly hope not anyways...

Given the Raiders' long standing commitment to tradition and former players, them not re-signing Wis is really telling.

They did get Hudson, who is a massive upgrade.

Though considering how poor of a run blocking team they have been, it seems he has been a bust

Wisniewski is very overrated. He lacks power in any part of his game. Not like his uncle at all.

i agree. give me justin blaylock. hometown kid...although he might still be starter quality.

He is looking for starters money, so next.

He doesn't lack power. He isn't very powerful but there is a difference. One can be functional particularly for a backup while the other cannot.

Technically, he is very good. He's not a power guy but he does understand leverage and his technique is generally pretty solid. At least, that's the book on him.

The little one-eyed guy from Monsters Inc.? ;)

Was Pollack a coach for the Raiders while he was there? If so, his input would be key.
