Ok, now I am depressed! He steps down, it goes to Stephen. Stephen is already running most things and he might actually be worse....
Make that 28 and counting...How can you say that after the fuhrer made us the most profitable franchise in sports history and he built that big stajum?
- This season is about as good as it gets around here with the players and coaches working under the watchful eye of the fuhrer.
- The fuhrer makes it impossible to make a deep playoff run do to all the distractions, lack of a head coach with any authority, and the constant crowing about "Super Bowl" from the idiot who does radio and TV interviews 24/7.
- The fuhrer is the face of the franchise by design to ensure he gets all the credit for making us playoff irrelevant.
- The fuhrer's health is failing but no worries, there will be another Jones to take over all football decisions once the fuhrer is lowered into the 50 yard line crypt at the stajum.
- The fuhrer IS the one constant over the past 27 seasons and gets all the credit for the 27 season, no NFC championship appearance streak.
Hope at some point in the near future he will step back and turn things over to Stephen, who will hire a GM.jer jer is around 80, and what normally happens at that age ( to some folks I know), they completely lose their filter (if they had one). Things that use to matter, that required attention and detail are not as important. Is jer jer saying to himself, "I've lived 80 years successfully and have (by his standards) a great family, a yacht, most popular football team ever, more cash then I can count, won 3 Superbowls, free parking at Cowboys stadium, free barbeque in my suite and my clock is ticking down and really don't care as much as you may think.
Could be worse ?He steps down, it goes to Stephen. Stephen is already running most things and he might actually be worse....
Why as he has done an excellent job as GM Jerry!!!As those who have read my post over a period of time, I am not real happy with Jerry's performance as GM.
We have not been to a NFCC game in 28 years and counting.
The one constant has been Jerry Jones.
Until he steps down we are never going to see post season success.
He seems happy to have the Cowboys be relevant and win regular season games.
The post season is very competetive and seperates the contenders from the pretenders.
This is where Jerry's ability to construct a team fall apart.
I am sure Jerry means well, but it should be obvious to everyone, that he just does not have the ability to do the job.

Fact!!!!!I don’t see myself ever being to where I don’t pay attention at all, but this Jones idiot is really sapping all the joy I could possibly find from this.
It’s just not worth the time and emotion.
We all know what’s going to happen, and we stand there like fools and watch, while Jerry acts shocked.
They are in way over their head, the problem is they don’t know it.
Will he reallyJerry will step down (way down) when he dies
I just made a post stating that I hate that this is happening to my football team...but I love that it is happening to Jerry. The disrespect he is showing Jimmy by not putting him in the ring of honor. The disrespect he is showing Will McClay and every other GM that has ever done this job over the course of NFL history..the disrespect he is showing that profession by claiming that title without scouting college/pro games, doing the film study, being in tuned with all of the position coaches in college/pro and having the pulse of who is up and coming. This could not be happening to a more deserving guy.I am curious if anyone else has done a 180 in their stance on the following....when the Eagles won the Super Bowl 5 years ago, it absolutely DESTROYED me....it was easily one of my Top 10 WORST sports days in my close to 60 years on planet earth. Having said that, I now have decided that I want the Eagles (if the Bengals lose) to beat KC and win another one....I want Booger to feel like absolute S as much as humanly possible. That is just how much disdain I have for this idiot for totally destroying my football enjoyment for close to three decades.
He doesn't care if the Eagles win. Jerry doesn't think like you and I. He kept Garrett even after the Cowboys lost to the Eagles, Giants and Deadskins for the division title in 3 straight years. That was the most embarrassing stretch of Cowboys football I ever saw. I don't think there is anything we can do to make Jerry feel bad. You'd think he'd put Jimmy in the ROH. It looks real bad for him now because Jimmy's in the HOF now. Nope. He doesn't care. Jerry doesn't care as long as he makes money.I am curious if anyone else has done a 180 in their stance on the following....when the Eagles won the Super Bowl 5 years ago, it absolutely DESTROYED me....it was easily one of my Top 10 WORST sports days in my close to 60 years on planet earth. Did you mean ruining the team ?It won't matter if Jerry steps down. His son is running the team.
You are spot on my brother problem is it's not obvious to Jerry either that or he chooses to ignore it because he wants to play with his toy the way he wants to play with it and he doesn't care how long he makes us all suffer. As those who have read my post over a period of time, I am not real happy with Jerry's performance as GM.

The blind squarrel theory ?And the Cowboys have been in the playoffs so much more than the Deadskins and Lions. You'd think one of these years we would just luck into a championship game appearance.
