AS long as they keep a similar game plan and stay balanced, offense will be fine.

I understand that they have to say these things, but why make yourself look stupid?

Why not just say you expect the offense to get better when Dak returns? There's no point to add the extra stuff that just isn't true.

There in lies the problem Stephen
You like to think
I like to think too
What do you do with his ridiculous contract if the offense declines?

Well ok then Stephen. Let's just go win games no matter who is under center.

When Dak returns, we will see what happens.

I remember back in the day when Dallas was successful. Aikman's stat line would be 21-26 for 280 yards a 1 TD with no TOs. Dak needs to be efficient and smart with the ball and we'll win and we'll put up a lot more points than what we're doing now. If Kellen tries to make him Mahomes then we're not playing to our strengths.

I agree with you. To your point, in the SB years (92, 93 and 95) Aikman only averaged 214 yards passing a game. He was just about at 200 a game for his career. Efficient and turnover free are the keys.

Let's see if Kellen can keep that up front or reverts to Air Coryell and failure.

Did no one watch week one. He looked nervous and played scared and like crap. Now, you add on the pressure of what Rush has done and I expect him to stink. He may get better as the year goes on if he can get his confidence back but I expect more heavy passing and loses. It would not shock me at all to miss or barely make the playoffs if Dak is the QB for the rest of the year.

Are the Joneses still hungover after drinking on Jerry’s birthday? Because this quote could only come from someone that’s been recently excessively drinking. One of the best players in the league? Please. He’s not even the best on any given High School football team.

If he is truly one of the best players in the league then this offense should really take off when he comes back. And with this defense there should be no stopping us. We'll find out soon enough.

You mean like when he is always in at QB. Offense is usually one of the best in the NFL.

As long as the Oline stays healthy this offense should be great again.

Dear Stephen…your “franchise” QB has not ever once represented in a big game…the few that Dallas has been in this modern era.

not that it’s a ringing endorsement but he played his *** off against GB in the playoffs

Obviously there will be a lot of pressure on Dak to excel when he returns, especially based upon the statements Dak him and Stephen have made.

Really stupid on both of their parts to add that added pressure.

Hope Dak come through and I hope he earns that big salary.

We led the league in scoring with him last year

You have hope for that, but do you really believe he is capable?

Its' year 7, 1 major injury, and now minor injuries are racking up. It's all downhill now. He abilities have peaked already and now his body is failing him.

I think Dak should be required to put up 40+ points per game if he comes back.
If he's so much better than Cooper Rush, the Cowboys shouldn't lose a game, score touchdowns in every quarter, and by the time we get to the Super Bowl, whoever the opponent is should just forfeit, rather than be embarrassed by Dak.
Talk is cheap. If Dak is going to replace Rush, he better put up or shut up!

People want to forget that Dak played Week 1 and only managed to led us to 3 points.

That never happened apparently and when he comes back we're going to just roll teams.

They also want to forget that Cooper Rush put up 20+ points in games we were supposed to lose, drove the length of the field multiple times in EVERY game and did what Dak couldn't do - produce.

I'm not a huge Dak fan now, I was his rookie year.

I have seen him play great with a simple offense and with him as a run threat. When he/coaches/owner decided to make him a pocket passer, it took away a lot of his effectiveness and made him very inconsistent.

I was against signing him during the 2 year negotiation stretch, I wanted to transition tag him and see what the market would bear in price and draft picks.

Rush doesn't have the same physical tools, but Rush is better with his running of the offense and his consistency. Less "oh damn" play and less WOW plays.

Put Rush's brain in Dak's body.
