If they offered him 55M I think he's taking it. I would think it is unlikely he would take his chances through the season to get a few more million a year in FA. That's rolling the dice when you don't have to.

I just posted the same thing.........but I can see Jerry the final number $56-57M. But I def agree it's unlikely he's risking injury for a few more million. Like I said earlier, I think it gets done by the weekend.......Stephen seems more confident now.

He also said he’d leave permanently if Dak is extended I believe.

And there is no reason to move from the Star when you are making 55m.

Didn't say he wouldn't, just that he'll switch up how he does it. Right now, he's enjoying irritating the Dak fans by pretending that this is Dak's last season. I'm sure he gets his jollies from Dak fans responding in exasperation.

I could see $56-$57 if Dak adds on four years. Gives him the bragging rights for highest APY while giving Dallas some maneuverability with the cap hits.

The 1st dak contract drove me crazy, and I heard so much dak this dak that, It made me start to not like him.

Just to be clear, you are saying that Trey Lance's development, or lack thereof, has nothing to do with how the Cowboys approach Dak's contract talks?

I doubt this will happen, but if Trey was to throw for three TD's, no INT's, in his first padded full scrimmage or preseason game, that wouldn't influence some perceptions?

They may have already drawn their conclusions about Lance. However, I just don't see how that couldn't affect the Cowboys views on the importance of Dak.

If Prescott is resigned then the clowm show will continue which is amusing to a certain point yet disappointing as it would continue the team's lack off success. Conversely, if he's moved on then it would provide the Cowboys with a fantastic opportunity to build around Parsons.

yes this FO has shown great things when building around a LB they turned into a DE..he won a SB and made the HOF...I'll let you fill in the turths i left out....
