Yep ... would have looked amazing with Romo on his back for 30 plays a game. Without Martin, I have a feeling Romo wouldn't have finished the season intact. Not sure Bend it like Beckham would have put up those numbers with Weeden throwing at him.

Remember the week leading up to the draft there were many speculating that Bortles would drop on draft day and not many expected Jville to take him. I remember Broaddus saying that Bortles was ranked high on their board and throw in Romo coming off back surgery, it could have been in their plans.

Not many expected Jacksonville to take him? IIRC, quite a few felt Jacksonville would take the Central Florida product. Bortles wasn't going to drop to the Cowboys pick.
