Why does the fan base hear these things from a guy who works contracts and not the guy who is the head coach?

Why does Jones and Jones have to speak to the media when the redheaded stranger has time since the friggin player's union ruined training camp for everyone with their silly requirements.

Soon we will see tutus and flag football in August.

of all the concerns that is yours?

When your contingency plan at such a critical position is the August cut list in the event the rookie from Boise St. isn't immediately productive, you might not know what you're doing.

let's make something sound ridiculous when it's just bad luck. But thats your M.O.

There's no luck about it. Their plan, apparently, was for a rookie to immediately produce and if not, on to the August cuts.

Or...Jeremy Mincey is our edge rusher.

Either way, this is the plan of a very poor front office.

I agree. That said, it's kind of crazy they're relying on getting Spencer back. With that injury and no time in camp and a new defense and, maybe, a new position....they must know something we don't, because it seems like a huge risk to run.

I know they love Spencer, though. And I think Marinelli thinks he can be an impact player in this defense.

They gave him TWO franchise tags. One on bum knee that everyone knew about.

I do not think his standing depends on what Rod Marinelli thinks about him.

Dude, you're just listing positions and writing "talent" next to them. That doesn't mean anything. The offense has talent, sure, but this team probably has the least talented defensive roster in the league.

Dude, do you think any of the players I listed on defense do not have NFL-caliber talent? If any were cut today, do you think they would be out of work for long? Do you think they would be nothing but backups? Sorry, but the roster has talent. You can take an unbiased look at the roster or you can join the unofficial Whine-Fest Club, all whine all the time.

So if the roster has talent, what is the issue?

I could be wrong but I do not recall anyone knowing about a bum knee for Spencer before the second franchise tag. IIRC, it was after Spencer signed the tag that he 'all of the sudden' said he had a knee problem. I don't remember a bad knee being part of any discussion here before the tag.

That whole summer there were issues about his knee. It was not like it was a legitimate injury that had a real point of origination. Players just do not develop knee issues "all of the sudden".

"Is?" We haven't even played one game yet and you are already crying. Maybe there is no issue. Maybe last year injuries were a tiny bit of the equation:cool: Maybe it was partly new scheme/wrong scheme.

But, hey, why consider anything else when it is too easy to just whine and cry, 24/7?

The tag is before the summer.

So it is injuries again instead of poor management?

Okay. Got you down for that.

Again.

And again, please point to an event that caused his issues. I must have missed it.

And again, can you point to any discussion here of knee problems before the second tag which was, IIRC, applied in Mar/Apr and Spencer signed immediately? I never said I could point to any event that caused his knee issue. The first time I heard he had a knee issue was after he signed the 2nd tag.

Those with tears in their eyes don't see very clearly and miss a lot.:) Have a little faith. As long as the O scores more than the D gives up, we will be OK.

It depends on what you mean by talent. If you mean physical attributes, sure. Just about every player in the league has them. If you're talking about NFL production, then you better strike Mitchell, Patmon, Claiborne, both McClains, Hitchens, Carter, Crawford, Lawrence, and Wilcox, because none of them have done squat in the NFL. What kind of talent are we talking about, the forty-yard dash or winning football games?

Do you usually answer direct questions like this?

well lets see their first goal was to pick Shazier but the team {Raven's,I think ] took him off the board.
So as many into the draft game believe they took BPA [Martin] so that left them with a second round
option to trade up are not get this rookie { Lawerence] who broke his foot [bad luck] but its the NFL.

They needed help at Mike[Hitchens] and then took BPA and a steal it appears in Devan Street.
The seventh round has been a success by anyones standards including Walter Footballs ,who
hates the Cowboys.

Many teams depend and need their rookie to start but the Cowboys aren't allow such a privilege in your "fan book".

They wisely decided not to get in the heavy money FA market but did go for a few FA and we don't know if they'll
work out or not, do we.

Next year if some "better luck" comes our way during the draft then we'll add more pieces to the rooster.
