Stephen Jones: There are no moral victories

Instead of asking the Jones boys about "moral" victories ask the players.

I bet they would say no. No moral victory. Whatever that is. You either win or lose.

I don't think the Cowboys muzzle players or coaches. Some of this is just a matter of looking at something from a different point of view. No one is saying this loss is good but there are things that can help and improve this team moving forward if they can take these positives and continue to perform like they did. Jerry is right if this offense can produce as they did sunday we will win a lot more games.

I don't disagree. Not a lot of moral victory on the defensive side of the ball. So as a team your right.

When Stephen takes over the Cowboys, will he be carbon copy of his father? Or will he step aside, hire a traditional GM, and assume a more traditional Owner role? Have there been hints on this subject.

In putting up 48 points in that game this team proved that no team get's a pass. Thats not saying it proved we are a good team but just that opponents are going to have to have a good fourth quarter to win.Those games tell more about a team than winning sometimes. That is a moral victory. SJ is just pandering.

I don't believe in moral victories. You win or you lose. There is no in between for me. I don't believe in those in our flag football league that I play in.

Agree, but it just shows that the communication and organization at the top is outstanding, nothing to worry about there.

One person says something, then another comes in saying the opposite. This leads to confusion for Garret, so on and so forth. I bet no one knows who or how to answer too up the pyramid. Lacking structure

I don't think this has much to do with organizational communication as it does with it's just a certain take on the matter. Optimism/pessimism kinda gig. JMO, of course.

The Jerry comment had zero value, and, to me, so does this. It's much ado about nothing. Moral victories are something a team builds on. Until this club shows the ability to ramp-up off something like this, then perhaps this is viewed differently.

For now, the good cop/bad cop routine remains rhetoric.

I can see where both dad and son are coming from. It was a 'moral victory' in the extent that we nearly beat the best team in the league and it come down to one bad play. it should give us confidence in our offense IF they can duplicate that level of play again. It shows us not to try to emulate other teams and instead let Romo be Romo instead of dink and dunk bus driver. Be careful with the ball, but let him take shots down the field with the receiving talent we have. At the end of the day, teams play to WIN, but you shouldn't get too down about the last game because everyone was expecting Dallas to lose... in fact, they were expected to get blown out. If we can actually take something from that game and not revert, then yes, that would be a huge plus. Confidence matters.
