Pressures are subjective and not all are equal. But pressures in some cases can actually be more impactful as it can cause an interception. It can rattle the QB on the next few plays. My point is that pressures may not always be as impactful as sacks but they can be and also important to have because you aren’t always going to take the QB down. A good QB can get rid of the ball before he’s sacked but pressure can affect his timing and accuracy.

Can't separate them. A sack is a pressure.

What's important is getting consistent pressure on the QB. Only way to beat top playoff QBs.

I'm more of if the play gained any positive yards after a so called pressure then it shouldn't count.

You know how many pressures PFF gave Micah in the GB v. Dallas game?

He basically camped out in the Dallas backfield all night long but never actually got to Dak.
Green Bay gave up 40 points so Micahs pressures didn't amount to anything.
Period.

BUT THEN...
Full stop.Fast forward to overtime. THE most important play of the game is Micah actually finally sacking Dak and preventing a touchdown.
Green Bay was then able to end it in a tie with Crosbys kick at expiration.

This perfectly illustrates my opinion
of sacks over pressures impact on winning games.

Since both are ultra important, kinda silly to even argue. If you sack a Qb 5 times but do not pressure him otherwise, that Qb will prolly have a good game.

Naw, I just said there are pressures that should count as a positive stat and others that end up not effecting the outcome of the play at all that shouldn't count.

Might want to scroll this thread and read all the several explanations of my opinion on this.

IF a pressure causes a throw away, loss of yardage, pick or fumble its a good pressure.

If an opponent still scores but the guy got close to the QB do you really care about this so called credited pressure?

Me neither.
