Nope. Teams can't trade for him because then he has all of the contract leverage and the price for an extension goes way up. Players do not get traded in this context, ever.

So right now; since he hasnt signed that tag, negotiations are dead in the water.

Once the trade is made, the player quickly signs the new contract. Offer sheets don’t happen much anymore because teams aren’t willing to give up 2 firsts as compensation.
