Non commital on LVE 5th year option.
mentioned Jaylon as a player they're looking to get back to 2018 under Quinn
mention Donovan Wilson who they really like
feels very good about offense said defense is definitely is priority,
Will is working hard on draft and free agency right now.
Broaddaus told Stephen Todd France has a couple defensive players sitting out there and he should talk to him. Got nice laugh out of Stephen.
still blaming the pandemic on some of the defensive issues.
also pumping up Dan Quinn, spoke of culture again.

Man... That doesn’t bode well for LVE. We know we needed to upgrade LBer— but that position just may have jumped to number one on the list if we are counting on Jaylon being a difference maker lol

Stevie has a firm grasp of the obvious saying they will prioritize fixing the defense. That said watch them draft Pitts or Slater at 10

LOL.

Blame the pandemic on the D but then pump up Quinn the guy you hired because you fired the old DC. But I thought it was the pandemic that caused defensive issues?

How about just keep it simple, Stephen? You guys screwed up the DC hire in 2020. Just own it.

How about just keep it simple, Stephen? You and your dad screwed up the DC hire in 2020 (yeah, yeah, yeah McCarthy hired Nolan - there is zero chance Jerry didn't sign off on it). Just own it and move on.

because I think they got talked into completely changing the defense with no offseason work on the field. I think Nolan convinced them he could do it. I believe that's why he was fired.

Yall are really gonna act like meeting your new coaching staff and installing a new defense over zoom had nothing to do with our terrible defense just so you can mock the Jones boys some more?

There can be more than one reason the defense was bad.

If you only pay attention to places like this, Jaylon gets all the hate and LVE mysteriously doesnt.

But every time I talk about it with real football minds, or listen to them talk about it on their channels, we're all kind of in agreement that LVE is worse.

Literally the best you can say, and it's totally disingenuous, is that LVE and Smith are equally capable. But even then, LVE is hurt all the time, so he still grades worse.

I had to learn not to take seriously any sentiment I read here. This isn't really a place for genuine Cowboys discussion anymore, just people *****ing all the time and calling everyone stupid.

Both players took huge steps back in 2019 after showing some promise together in 2018. Same defense. Same players. Deteriorating results.

As we head into 2021... We have to be looking to move on from both players within 2 years. Wasted resources and sunk costs are setting this team back. For as many “hits” as McClay has had along the OL— we have utterly whiffed on a number of critical defensive picks over the last several years
