That fact they know defense is a priority and that is where their focus is, I see as a good thing. As for LVE I think given the recent injuries I think there should be some doubts. Let LVE play this season before looking to extend. Of course talking is one thing and doing is something else. Looking forward to seeing what Dallas does in the draft and FA to get this defense playing better ball than they have.

But every time I talk about it with real football minds, or listen to them talk about it on their channels, we're all kind of in agreement that LVE is worse.

Literally the best you can say, and it's totally disingenuous, is that LVE and Smith are equally capable. But even then, LVE is hurt all the time, so he still grades worse.

I had to learn not to take seriously any sentiment I read here. This isn't really a place for genuine Cowboys discussion anymore, just people *****ing all the time and calling everyone stupid.

LVE gets plenty of grief for his play here. Jaylon deservedly gets more because of the amount he is getting paid. Hopefully they are both pleasant surprises this year and get back to playing fast and smart. It would really go a long way toward getting our defense even respectable.
