Question: How much of this is Jimmy's influence...with Jerry's own style of execution? Jimmy said he was back in the fold...I would love to know what Jimmy advised vs. what Jerry is actually doing.I’ve been picturing someone else besides Jerry and SJ leading the front office for a long time. Someday, hopefully in my lifetime that will happen.
"If ownership, the coaching staff and players all put 100% effort into putting the best possible team on the field, there is no reason we cannot contend for a Championship. We owe it, and all need to be at our best and be accountable to this organization and to our fans."I knock this front office but I always find it funny when yall get upset when they say stuff like this….what else do you want him to say lol?
LOL."If ownership, the coaching staff and players all put 100% effort into putting the best possible team on the field, there is no reason we cannot contend for a Championship. We owe it, and all need to be at our best and be accountable to this organization and to our fans."
How about that for a change of pace instead of the usual garbage coming from his and his Dad's mouths?
It's what I would want him to say, but knew there was little chance of it happening, lol....ie. the usual dribble that occuredLOL.
Accountable? Him and daddy havent been accountable for decades. Why start now?

I dont think Jimmy has any input, I also dont see any diference in what they are doing to be honest...wait till the last minute, negotiate through the media, no FA to speak of..the only diference is this time Dak has full FA looming and the jones dont have a tag to use on him...they have offered Dak a deal, Dak's team has no reason to hurry with a response this go round.Question: How much of this is Jimmy's influence...with Jerry's own style of execution? Well, we do know for sure that Jerry doesn't believe in Dak to make him the highest paid...and I wonder if that was because of Jimmy's talent evaluation of him. I even wonder what Jimmy thought of CeeDee's deflated body language during the game. Again, maybe you are correct and they don't seek Jimmy's input, but I'd love to be a fly on the wall.I dont think Jimmy has any input, I also dont see any diference in what they are doing to be honest...wait till the last minute, negotiate through the media, no FA to speak of..the only diference is this time Dak has full FA looming and the jones dont have a tag to use on him...they have offered Dak a deal, Dak's team has no reason to hurry with a response this go round.
You're not wrong, but I think Stephen knows this. I mean what is he supposed to say week 1 of camp..."We've pretty much moved on from Dak. We are sending him low ball offers in hopes he bites, but mostly to make the fans think we tried to actually retain him."Stephen must realize, if Dak doesn't get his $60,000,000 contract, he might get to picture him in another uniform, anyway!
Actually the logic would be on Dak not needing to sign anything he doesnt feel is a good situation...I know everyone is focused on this whole "Jerry is pissed" angle but if we are going off history Jerry is acting as usual and Dak is acting and saying things that are for sure not the nrom for him...Dak's team has alot of logical reasons to take this to FA, i dont think thats a foolish take. You're not wrong, but I think Stephen knows this. I can only guess as to how this actually comes to an end, but the Cowboys seem to have more substance with their activity around the Lamb contract than they do Dak's. The talk and action around from the outside looking in around Daks deal seems to be more posturing in the media than actually looking for resolution.
I may look foolish for saying this within the next 24 hours as Dak could sign at any moment, but my money is still on the Cowboys having a new quarterback in 2025.
That’s essentially the crap he says lol."If ownership, the coaching staff and players all put 100% effort into putting the best possible team on the field, there is no reason we cannot contend for a Championship. I agree completely. Dak is in total control of the situation, and I see no reason for him to accept any offer unless Jerry caves to exactly what Dak asks for. The guy can probably make 10% more by waiting until the offseason when the cap goes up again, why would he sign the team friendly deal when his GM doesn't bring in any help, the owner throws him under the bus, has no idea who will be coaching the team a year from now, and half the fan base doesn't like him? I'd be in zero rush if I were Dak.Actually the logic would be on Dak not needing to sign anything he doesnt feel is a good situation...I know everyone is focused on this whole "Jerry is pissed" angle but if we are going off history Jerry is acting as usual and Dak is acting and saying things that are for sure not the nrom for him...Dak's team has alot of logical reasons to take this to FA, i dont think thats a foolish take.
