He’s a great 2-3 combination in terms of what he can do as a backup. He’s a big, thick guy. And he’s a hell of a special teams player as well. He’ll be a good addition and great complement to (Ezekiel Elliott). And then we’ll let these young guys between (Rico Dowdle and Malik Davis) and those guys battle it out.”

Having a better RB situation than last year would be nice but really I think our main problem was the linemen and the lame blocking scheme. Glowing reviews of the OL would make me happier than of the RBs.

ST player who gives you some game day depth at RB.

Despite the size, probably won't get the chance at short yardage with Zeke back.

Understanding his assignments should be a given at this point in his career. Executing them is definitely the question. He's a power back, so he's not going to really show what he can do or can't do until the PS games.

Freeman is a decent back. Works well in a RBBC. Not a super star but definitely can contribute during games. Most of you all don't pay any attention to teams that aren't the Cowboys and love to crap on every move the team makes so I'm not surprised some people are so down on him.

He's listed online at 238lb, the same size as Hunter. Zeke is almost 230lbs. I like the bigger backs and the smashmouth style so I'm hoping we rotate often and run a fresh 230-240lb back out there over and over to wear out defenses. Freeman's second year he caught 43 passes as well so he can catch the ball as well.
