I think your assertion that Hurns is "needed" will be just as accurate as your assertions that winning or losing game 1 doesn't matter, Zeke would get 2K yards, and the defense "shut down" GB for 3 quarters of the 2016 playoff game. But who knows, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.

They can easily with 2 QB's as White has failed to impress so far. He can safely go to the PS.
Same for Bo and Darius. Though Darius looked decent, neither one set TC on fire. One or both can go to the PS.

And yes, many will chime in we will lose them to another team. I doubt that vary much. And if we do, and we go down Zeke and Rod, or Dak goes down. Does it matter if any of these guys are here. No.

So there is 2 roster spots right there, as a 6th or 7th WR helps so much more than a 3rd or even 4th RB, as Olawale can run some too, and a 3rd QB.

If they had to, keep 3 TE's, as Shultz has not impressed either, from what I seen. But we aren't at practices either to see.

Then the can still go long at DL from this as well.

But interesting thought, trade a WR and probably a draft pick for ET.

No, it is the entire team, and coaches involved. Jerry and Stephen listens to them more than fans want to admit.
And just because Stephen made this comment does not mean he makes the decision, or Jerry.

This is where a ST's coach pounds his fist, and says, Scott and Rod got their guys, but I must have this guy. Rather he is a RB, WR, DB, doesn't matter, it is who he thinks helps the team the best.

Same goes for Noah Brown, they knew they were keeping him, hence them not in a panic to get him into practices. Or now the plan is to IR him because of Lenoir.

The real question is what position do we take from in order to keep more than 6 WRs

This is simply posturing for some trade talks. A few WRs have gone down and Stephen wants teams to come calling. They don’t want teams thinking they can wait until Dallas cuts Thompson or Lenoir. They may keep 7 WRs initially so they can trade one right after the deadline. They always make a move or two in the 24 hours after final cutdown.
