Stephen thinks Prescott is one of the best QB's

Seriously? My point was it takes a whole team and that includes QB. There were many threads on here about how Dak was better than Jalen even up to the start of this past season. Cowboys had some pretty good teams early on in Daks time. Would other QB's do as well as Jalen this year? Maybe but would they have have demolished Washington and then KC any more in the playoffs/SB? How many more points would they have put up? Elite or not I don't see any of those guys doing better.

Anyone who thinks Hurts is the weak link on that team maybe should re-think it. Jalen outplayed Mahomes in SB 57 statistically and Mahomes looked pretty pedestrian in SB 59. No QB is winning without talent and good coaching.

Last season the Eagles also had a "stacked" roster but after winning close games week in and out it fell apart. Same thing for the Cheifs this season. They just made it further but finally got exposed in the SB.

Is Hurts as talented as Mahomes, Allen, Jackson and Burrow? Probably not but results vs stats mean more. Jalen is still pretty young and has room to get better.
Yeah,
Creeper might need to peek at this post.
But I'm right there with ya brother.

I don't disagree. But Do you think Mahomes chocked? Or did the Eagles defense shut him down?
A little from column A, a little from Column B. It was a different kind of choke than what Dak does though. At least Mahomes did enough in the playoffs to even get to the big game.

I doubt he really believes that at this point. After the contract they gave him just months ago they really can't say anything else at this point. They are married to Dak at minimum through the 2025 season, and likely 2026.

The reality is Dak has had a very good NFL career, and has had a couple of seasons where he has been a tier 2 and borderline tier 1 QB. The flip side of that is he doesnt project as a guy who will age well in this league getting into his 30s, I think we saw some of that last year (even if we want to point to scheme, supporting cast, etc. the actual film on Dak wasn't pretty), and now he is coming off a pretty serious leg injury.

They brough in Schottenheimer because he is the ultimate Dak friendly guy. He is familiar with Dak he, he like to run the football, and his OC pick supports what he has said publicly about offensive balance. I'm still very skeptical on this team for 2025, largely because I struggle to see Dak rebounding without serious spending this offseason by the Cowboys, but they are right at least in their philosophy Schotty brings even if we mostly dont love the hire.
Borderline Tier 1?

Prescott can be one of the best when he has powerful weapons and a defense that can put him in advantageous positions . However, other QBs can do the same under those circumstances.

Dallas should have another QB on a rookie contra t that is capable of competing for a starting position. Prescott has been really comfortable his whole career. Jones finds a starter and calls it a day for about ten years.

Nothing makes a player better than competition.

One thing that gives me hope is Daks 2nd best season was coming off the gruesome injury in 2020. He will be motivated by all the hate he is getting.
