Stephen: We haven’t been able to take that next step in over 20 years

this is not the Klingon home world. the son is not guilty of the sins of the father. Stephen is vastly superior to jerry as a contract negotiator and evaluator of talent. while it might have been true that jerry listened to advice from others, Stephen clearly listens more and seems to rely a lot on will mcclay's recommendations. garrett is jerry's pet cat. he is not Stephen's. I think we're in good hands now with stephen in charge of procuring personnel and making the financial deals.

1. Need to hire a coach, that can also hire their own staff.
2. Do not allow players to go over their coaches heads. Keep a sense of discipline in the organization.
3. Keep your mouth's shut, you can speak at the Lombardi celebration.

Seriously speaking, what Stephen really needs is a Tuna type he can learn from. I think Stephen is still learning and would eagerly accept advice from a good source.

I think you're right.

He needs to be the strong and silent type. Just where does he think the blame falls for not taking the next step?

Can't blame him though, the owner is as forgiving of the GM as he is the SVP in charge of talking when Daddy isn't.

can we rename this the offical rag on jerry and stephen thread?

All the never-ending complaining aside, this year's team should be right up there with the 2007, 2014, and 2016 teams in terms of it's ability to compete for a championship based solely on talent. That's a tough place to get to in the NFL. It'll be fun to watch.

Needless to say, Stephen wasn't the only one who felt strongly that the Cowboys were seriously overdue to get themselves in position to win an Eastern Division championship and stand a fighter's chance to become a viable contender for an upcoming Super Bowl. Needless to say, it has been well over two decades since the Cowboys have seen what it's like to enjoy such a blessing. The time has come for restitution to be had. Let's see if 2019 might be the year for us to finally return to our winning ways of the past. It's a relief to see that a recommitment to a former destiny might finally have been accepted.
