Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones when asked on @SASportsStar about how soon he and Jerry Jones will make a decision about the team's head coaching position:

"We've been so focused on this season that we haven't really even thought about it in terms of timing. Obviously Mike McCarthy and his staff have done a hell of a job for us. We'll really sit down and go over that, but in terms of starting to set up time schedules and those types of things in terms of when we'll make decisions, we haven't gotten to that point."

They cant either A. Be that stupid, or B
Think we're that stupid?

I can't recall Stephen ever having anything original or insightful to say, about anything.
When he's asked for a comment, he should just use Edward R. Murrow's famous line, "Good night and good luck." It's more than the drivel he usually hands out.
lol

I’d rather him say I’ll have to ask my father

The more these guys talk, the more I can't believe they run a football team in the national football league.
Exactly, That statement gives off an image of Smokey and the Bandit vibes.

I agree. They need a true President of football operations and let him hire a GM. The Jones gang can then concern themselves with all the other areas like all the other activities/events they want at Jerry World.

Yes. Handling important things, like window shades for AT&T, the video screen height, fine art in the mezzanine and beer prices. and supervising Rowdy.

If you want to know what we will do picture whatever is the easiest thing to do. It is most likely gonna be correct.

McCarthy’s contract is not up until January 14th.

I highly doubt we’ll see any movement until that date.

that would be not going on a search at all, and giving Mike and emotional talk and extending him for 10 years

Unbelievable. Truly. It's like every statement is purposefully designed to piss fans off even more. It's like they hate us; season was a bust, but don't look forward to next year either, because we're literally not going to do anything.

These idiots are going to just sit around for a few weeks while other teams go after the good coaches?

We'll end up with a Jeff Fisher.

On the one hand, McCarthy winning 12 games 3 consecutive years despite Jerry and Stephen is something of a marvel. On the other, as the great Groucho Marx once said, "I wouldn't want to join any club that would have me!"

That McCarthy would want to stay in Dallas under the two Jones clowns might be the best reason he should be fired.
