Stephen: We just came up against a Saints team that's hot

Time to go to the Garden Center and get some Shanahan tree killer powder.

We were both 1-0 before the game.

Just don’t say anything at all instead of thinking we are all dumb

Jerry and Stephen are like the gambler in the casino riding a cold streak thinking if they play one more hand they can win it all back and all the bad luck is because the dealer is on a heater.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan on having confidence in DC Mike Zimmer: “He knows this game well. He’s been a very successful coordinator, a very successful head coach. Have all the confidence in the world that he’s gonna put these guys in the right spot. He did a great job the first week. We just came up against a Saints team that’s hot.”

On Get Up this morning they mentioned that Zimmer defense was #29 last 2 years in MN

This is not a one off

The saints are hot…

But what’s worse for us is we have an EVP that no other team in the NFL would hire to sell hot dogs much less be a team executive making actual meaningful decisions.

Stephen Jones has two things of note on his resume’. A chemical engineering degree from U of Ark and shared DNA with the owner. That’s it. He received a lifetime contract the night Daddy’s check cleared the bank to buy the team. Nepotism at its finest.
I didn't like the way that bunch of hillbillies ran around looking stupid when Doddie bought the team. And firing Landry. Jerry sucks.

They played the Panthers; who are probably the worst team in the league. Everybody looks hot playing them.

Agreed. What is the sound bite if the Ravens roll them? "They have the 2 time MVP of the League and played in the AFC Championship last season, you could throw the record out when facing that ball club."

Smh...they'll have an answer for everything.
Not if , WHEN.

No accountability. It’s got to change.

"Hot" after one week?
This culture of excuses makes me want to vomit. "Well, we can't go undefeated!" Actually, you theoretically COULD have. "We just played a hot team; whaddaya gonna do??" You go beat them.
It's bad enough to lose like that, then it's beyond embarrassing when Jerry, and especially Stephen talk after a beating like that. Think it can't get worse after Jerry? See Stephen.

It was more than that Stephen. You were blown off the line of scrimmage by the Saints O-line, and your scrub offense had no answer

Yeah, and if it happens again next week it will be a desperate cornered dog and the week after that something else.

Coaches are supposed to prepare players for every game as if the opponent were on a hot streak. I mean why underestimate?

Oh, thank goodness.
I thought that humiliation was because of 2 picks and a fumble and our lousy defence.

Isn't it part of Stephen's job to make sure the Cowboys are a team that is "hot"?

His Dallas Cowboys profile list some of his duties as "overseeing the team's scouting and player personnel department."

So where is our reliable RB, Stephen? Where is our big run stopping DT's?

Why were the Saints hot and the Cowboys frigid, Stephen?
