Stephen: We will be selectively aggressive

I had no issue with the Trey Lance trade, it was a lottery ticket and a chance to better bargin with dak - however they didn't use and develop him as they should of and they didn't get the benefit in the negotiations with dak like they should have.
So it was a stupid move.

No not a stupid move, read my post again, the stupidity was in putting him as the 3rd qb and never investing the time or energy to get the value out of him
So he does not have to earn the 2nd string position? Got it.

The dumb *** stunt trading for Trance likely annoyed French and he raised the price of his client another $5 million per season. Expensive lottery ticket.

No that's not what I was saying but it appeared they just defaulted to rush as the 2nd string.

Lance needs game reps, simple as that. People forget how little he played in college. Unfortunately at this stage in his career he's probably lost the potential to develop and. Will be a nfl journeyman backup until his athleticism fails him

For the second straight offseason the Joneses are using a new term. Last year they planned a holistic approach and this offseason they plan to be selectively aggressive.

Is this 2025's "All in"?
Here’s the big issue IMO. Jerry is under a ton of pressure to start bringing in some talent via FA but this seems like such a mediocre FA class. 20+ million for Josh Sweat. He had a great SB but he’s just an average DE. 20+ million for DT Milton Williams and he didn’t even start for Philly. The Minnesota QB? Yawn. I just don’t think it’s the year to go “All in” because there’s no Cee Dee Lambs, Micah Parsons, Jayden Daniel’s, or Deion Sanders types available.
That LBer Baun from Philly would be nice but big money LBers aren’t a wise investment even if it would hurt Philly and make Dallas better.
