Yep, I hear ya bro.
Of all the things to come out of any person's mouth...
The degree of irony is to the point that the world has turned upside down on this statement made by this person.

Gotta sell it somehow I guess.

Shut up Lemonhead....nobody believes that you will do even ONE thing different...just making people hate you that much more!!!
They are going to have to sign more free agents than they have in the past and can create the cap space to do that.

If Stephen Jones wasnt a public figure and just someone you knew he would be the guy that you would try to explain to all your friends, but no one would believe you because its just too wild to be true.

He actually said that at the end of this mess of an interview. Where he talks about continuity and change. Continuity with change. Changing while simultaneously being constant or whatever the heck he's saying. He is his daddy's son.

I want you to remember this in the spring when it turns out we did the same damn thing again. You're already seeing it with the coaching staff.

The gall for him of all people to say this.

The Jones family's XY chromosomes are defective.

After the "we're all in" comment a year ago proved to be nonsense, why should we buy anything he says about changing this year? I'm willing to give Schottenheimer a chance to prove himself, but he certainly doesn't appear to be the face of change.

Translation….’we realize what we do doesn’t work to win games, but me and daddy are having a fun time playing GM and making tons of guaranteed money, so we can get away with it. We do feel for you though, so I’ll mention this now and it’ll have to be enough.’

I do expect them to sign a mid-level FA or two, it to not work out and they go back to the smug attitude on their proven method.

No NFCCG in 30 years? No major FA in 13 years? Any connection there? Did they just realize that when that could have made a major difference in 2021-23? Always reactive, ahead of nothing. They aren’t good at this. This team loses more games in March than any other.

Man and to think they were ready to roll McCarthy back out had he not demanded 2 more contract years. I hope someone in the family can tell Stephen what a hypocrite is and he changes his approach.
