Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones when asked on @1053thefan about what kind of repercussions he and Jerry Jones face when the team isn’t good:

“I just think we have to look at how we get better. And that’s what we’ll continue to do. We’ve had a good run where we won 12 games (in three consecutive seasons). I think only Kansas City did a better job. But at the same time, we didn’t have the success in the postseason that we wanted.

“And then, of course, to have this situation happen is certainly disappointing. It’s disappointing for anybody who follows the Cowboys, who thinks about the Cowboys as their team. They deserve better than that, and we’ll continue to look for ways to improve upon that.”

You and your father's mirrors have been displaying Way #1 and Way #2 since March 1994.

At the very least, grab a hammer and smash the mirrors. They are not getting through both your thick skulls anyway.

Only the Chiefs have been better the last few years. I mean, 36 regular season wins speaks for itself.
Cut off all access between the players and coaches, get rid of some of these soft players, and draft and sign several more dogs and we can become a dangerous team again.

Get a running back, Shore up the defensive line, make a few changes at the safety position, and we are right back in it.

I honestly believe that if you told Jerry or Stephen they were guaranteed a Super Bowl victory if they gave up GM controls they wouldn't do it.
totally. Jerry wants to win, but not at the expense of giving up control. This once proud franchise is starting to be run like the jets, panthers and cardinals

Bold> This is why the odds have always been against him hiring Bill Belichick as the new head coach. The possibility still exists but it is unlikely. Mad Genius is Mad Genius.

..joneses probably thought the winning ways would continue. Forgetting that life comes with so many variables, its unpredictable. Getting slammed by GB. Was biggest red flag. The incompetence of McCarthy glowed.

I'm surprised and happy he acknowledges that fact.

I wasn't sure he had his eye on the real prize before.
