"We’ve had a good run where we won 12 games (in three consecutive seasons)."

"But at the same time, we didn’t have the success in the postseason that we wanted."

The ability to contradict oneself in the same paragraph is an admirable quality for someone building a championship team.

That was not a "good run". It was wasted opportunities.

The beautiful irony is IF Dallas were to win they would see a meteoric rise in revenue lol
Well at what cost? Jerry doing what he has created a sports empire worth 11B+

So it's about bottom line and investing and paying more cuts on the profit. Stadium is sold out. We had three players in top 10 jersey sales.

I honestly believe that if you told Jerry or Stephen they were guaranteed a Super Bowl victory if they gave up GM controls they wouldn't do it.
They definitely wouldn’t. Winning is not their first priority. The evidence is as bright as the sun.

Jethro is still ducking thru on his way to bank.

Until #1 in Revenue changes don’t expect much besides bringing in another puppet Coach.

The only silver lining is they're hearing about all the discontent and hopefully feel the pressure to do something different rather than thinking the team you fielded should be good enough.

Bold> This is why the odds have always been against him hiring Bill Belichick as the new head coach. The possibility still exists but it is unlikely. Mad Genius is Mad Genius.
I'm not sure Bill would work for theses morans. Let me rephrase this. I don't believe he would come to Dallas.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones when asked on @1053thefan about what kind of repercussions he and Jerry Jones face when the team isn’t good:

“I just think we have to look at how we get better. And that’s what we’ll continue to do. We’ve had a good run where we won 12 games (in three consecutive seasons). I think only Kansas City did a better job. But at the same time, we didn’t have the success in the postseason that we wanted.

“And then, of course, to have this situation happen is certainly disappointing. It’s disappointing for anybody who follows the Cowboys, who thinks about the Cowboys as their team. They deserve better than that, and we’ll continue to look for ways to improve upon that.”

Yeah i heard that interview.

He also said that in those 12-5 seasons we were contenders. That they (SJ and JJ) build a contender.

The guy is laughable. He really thinks we were contenders during those seasons.

I usually dont listen to that schmock. And i regreted it the second i heared that from him.

We should hang a banner to celebrate the last 3 seasons.

Repercussions? They have to answer questions they don't like and don't think reporters have the right to ask.

Only the Chiefs have been better the last few years. I mean, 36 regular season wins speaks for itself.
No. More fans care about the game next Monday night than care about the last three years or Jerry’s three Super Bowls. Whatever 36 regular season wins in the past three years speaks for, yesterday’s Cowboys game speaks louder.

There is no excuse for a losing home record and this has been a problem since the Texans skunked the stadium's opening night.

The Cowboys are full of distractions. From the circus at TC to fan tours during training to media and sponsor obligations that are above and beyond anything else in sport.

Then on top of that you throw a tenacious, drama loving media following also second to none.

At a certain point there is a tradeoff between maximizing every dollar and giving your team it's best chance to win.

The Joneses make changes but until they begin to recognize and correct these issues I do not see much meaningful change nor anything resembling the sustained success they claim to strive for.
