Hey, it's hard to find people who think like me.

It's not just adding free agents. It's adding them at the right player at the right price at the right time.

That's three rights that have to line up.

Right now, this would make sense to go "all-in," as they say in poker. But it's still not the same situation where we sat on our hands last year, probably for good reason.

The same situations that arose for the Eagles was not the same situation Dallas had. It's two different teams, so there's never a guarantee it will work. Plus, if we get involved in a bidding war, we end up paying too much. And that happens with the better free agents out there.

As far as Stephon Diggs, his connection to Travon matters. Stephon can likely make more in Dallas just in endorsements, knowing Dak and all the star players here. That way, he can fulfill his dream of playing in Dallas with his brother and still make out. Not saying he should completely drop his pants, but he'd be wise to be on a team-friendly deal since he's likely made enough during his career anyway, at least after a restructure if we have to outbid the Bills.

He only had over 1,400 yards this year, so I don't think he's "washed," as some will undoubtedly insist.
Stefan is 1yr into a 4yr 96m contract. For a trade to be feasible for the Bills (29m signing bonus) the the capital acquired would border on astronomical. He turns 30 next year. WRs tend to begin to decline at that age and then precipitously after 32. AJ Brown is 25 and entering his prime and was a smart move, high end capital for a 30yo receiver is far from it!

Yeah, I thought the media was reporting about it because it was somehow possible. Then I later looked into it some more and it's not even possible.

I'm fine for trading for a receiver, but for Diggs the cost would be way to high.

Lol, 45m dead cap hit for them to move on from Diggs next season. The capital to make it remotely feasible for them would be astronomical. As someone else stated, the starting point in those negotiations from their perspective would be our 1st and Parsons and ends with 2 1st a 2nd and Sam Williams. This for a WR who has a 18m base salary next season and turns 30, the age most receivers begin their decline. But hey, let’s get it done!!!
How can the starting point be 1st and Parson and end with 2 1st a 2nd and Sam Williams when Buffalo didn't even give that up when they traded for him at the age of 26 years old, with an existing 11 million dollar contract?

These are fairly good points. The Cowboys and Eagles are in different situations. The Cowboys have to find their best path. They just never seem to find it.

The Cowboys aren't going to be able to add another top end player hitting the cap hard without restructuring Dak's contract. But this is their window. Because if they extend Diggs, Lamb, and Parsons, their big cap hits come in 2, 3, and 4 years from now.

The other choice is to not restructure Dak, sit on their hands like they've been doing for close to a decade now, and see how he plays next season to determine whether or not to extend him further.

I would advise Stephon talk to Amari Cooper about what it was like catching balls from Dak Prescott. Might change his mind and ask Treyvon to join him in Buffalo instead.

He’s 1yr into a 4yr 96m contract with a 30m signing bonus that looks like it was restructured already to pay for the ridiculous Von Miller contract. Trading him for anything other than astronomical capital makes “zero” sense for them. Trading anything of substance for a 30 year old receiver is just dumb!

So..........we haven't signed a high quality free agent since Brandon Carr and you want to go to the draft and then go to Walmart for free agents like we've been doing? Do you see where that's gotten us? Out of the NFCCG for 28 consecutive years. If I'm a Bills fans I like the Vonn Miller signing because it means that at least my team is TRYING TO WIN! INSTEAD OF BEING HAPPY TO BE IN THE MIDDLE. As Jerry so eloquently put it.

No! I don’t want to make stupid decisions, like trade mass capital for 30 year old receivers that are much more likely to set us back than move us forward. And what Jerry said was, when you think you’re a player or 2 away “like the Eagles thought”, that’s when you take your shot. He doesn’t think and rightfully so, that this team is a player or 2 away yet. Just the fact that he’s talking about says he’s doesn’t think we’re too far off. If and when you take that shot, you better be right or you’ll end up like the Giants still trying to recover from their 2016 splurge!

its not A possibility here in Dallas, some of you missed the point , its super easy for him to go there given hes under his rookie deal with a contract coming up.. Buffalo can NOT move on from Stefon at this point. so the cowboys can trade diggs to buffalo if he wants out that bad and we have to go CB in the first round. how bad does Buffalo want TD?? we could get 1st easily for him maybe more use them on anew CB plus anthe rpayer..

now you all down??

Middle the NFL is 32 teams...

we had 12 wins and made it to the 2nd round..thats top 10 , nowhere near the middle, heck since 2000 we are top 11 in the win% in the nfl..odd math huh middle average bad sux all this talk yes we need to go further but we are far from average and the bills lost 4 SBS back in 90s and haven't been back since, we won 3 id say Jerry has the edge over Buffalo..The Bills have never won a Super Bowl Jerry 3 Bills 0 i sure hope those bills fans are happy with the goose egg. LOL but hey they got MIller and still out at the same time.

but hey be "THAT FAN" exaggerate much.

happy being in mix, being relative consistently vs all in is what he meant.. 32 teams and only maybe 2 teams have taken that all in type risk but somehow Jerrys alone. as few more moves would be nice but please having the most RS wins over the last 2 seasons is nowhere near the middle. jeez the drama queens in here.

It will take at least what the Davante Adams trade was which would mean a 1st and a 2nd.
