No! I don’t want to make stupid decisions, like trade mass capital for 30 year old receivers that are much more likely to set us back than move us forward. And what Jerry said was, when you think you’re a player or 2 away “like the Eagles thought”, that’s when you take your shot. He doesn’t think and rightfully so, that this team is a player or 2 away yet. Just the fact that he’s talking about says he’s doesn’t think we’re too far off. If and when you take that shot, you better be right or you’ll end up like the Giants still trying to recover from their 2016 splurge!
Set us back from what? Where in the heck are we going? You act as though the Joneses have a plan that they're following. Oh yeah the have a plan to go to the NFCCG once every 30 years. Their plan is to stay competitive and rake in the dough and it's working.

How did the Eagles think that they were only a player or two away when we won the division last year with a record of 12-5 and they were a wild card with a record of 9-8 and lost to us two times? So when has this team been 1 or 2 players away in the last 11 years if not now? Brandon Carr was the last high demand free agent that was signed and that was in 2012, so since then the Joneses had no need to go all in? Give me a break.

The Giants are still recovering well the Eagles and Chiefs are playing in the Super bowl and the Bucs have a ring. Scared money don't make money.

In basketball I didn't admire MJ and Kobe because they made last second shots, I admire them because they had the balls to take them, they were not scared of the negative backlash that they would get if they missed it, they embraced the admiration they would get when they made them. The Joneses are that guy that passes the ball to the greats because they're afraid of what will happen if they miss. YOU MISS 100% OF THE SHOTS THAT YOU DON'T TAKE.
