the kickers he found were never that good either.

I will take joe decamillis thanks.
Chris Boniol was pretty good, Richie Cunningham was alot like Folk, Cundifff had a good rookie campaign, he found good bang for your buck talent for the short term.

Steve Hoffman wasn't the special team coach. He was the kicker's coach. He wouldn't have gotten in Decamillis' way..

I never once said he was.

Why not take them both? Decamillis would still coordinate the entire special teams and Hoffman would provide a coach for the kickers under Decamillis' guidance. It would not be an either or situation. I don't think they will go find Hoffman, but it would not be a bad thing if they did.

I am confused what he would do?

We had an excellent kicker. Without him when we needed a kicker we found novak, suisham and brought in grammatica and cortez.

No better or different than anything he could have done.

If Jerry thinks a designated kicking coach will help the team win you will see one in Dallas next year.Considering how things have worked out with Folk this year it could be a strong possibility (IMO).

Then why do you need a QB coach? Or any position coach for that matter? Why is it a bad thing to have a kicking coach? Whether that is Hoffman or anyone else? I don't see it as a problem to have a kicking coach. It isn't a must, but I don't see it as a bad thing. In fact I think it is better if you can find one.
