Steve Young was on the radio the other day and he had high praise for Shanahan. Said he is one of the best coaches in the leauge and is a master at adjusting to what defenses throws at you. Always has the foot on your throat and wants to attack you. Does not let up. Talked about how maybe he has learned that he can not be GM and coach at the same time. He said that he talked to him on New Years Eve and he still has that fire and competiveness in him. Was suprised as was every one else that he was fired as he and the Denver owner were like brothers. Just FYI.

Screw the advice of former HOF quarterbacks. Nothing good ever comes of it.

Maybe he has learned he cannot be both GM and head coach. He would have no choice in Dallas because Jerry is the GM. We will find out if Shanahan has accepted that he is not a good GM if he took an offer to come to Dallas. We don't know if there will be an offer or if Shanahan will accept it. I am not going to assume that if Jerry made the offer that Shanahan says yes.

Let's see.
Shanahan is a master at adjusting to defenses
Always has the foot on opponents' throats
Does not let up
Has fire and competitiveness

Sounds like the anti-Wade. Nope, he'll never work in Dallas.

Is that why with 3 games remaining needing only 1 his team could not step up and do the job? Yeah he really got them motivated over the final games.

I just repeated what was in the OP.
If you don't like it, tough.

And i hope you and the 'new Wade' will be very happy together. My guess is you will be the submissive one and the "New Wade" will be the dominant one.

I'm for giving any HC the time to do the job, if Dallas hired Shanahan I would give him more than 2 years to do the job as well. I'm funny that way I tend to give a HC a real chance not this caving into knee jerk reactionary fans. I don't have a crystal ball I don't know if the Cowboys will post another 9-7 season or a 13-3 season but I think HC when hired should be given ample time to get the job done.

but when you have realistic video games like madden....and you can turn a 1-15 franchise around in a matter of 1 year with about 7 trades & 10 FA signings shouldn't it be like that in real life?

Everyone forgets he got the Broncos to the AFC Championship with Jake Plummer at quarterback.

I didn't forget. Other than Belichick I'd take Shanny over anyone else that could come out and coach right now. That's even over Fischer and Fischer is darn good! Over Dungy, over Gruden.

I seem to remember a certain qb around here who had nothing but the highest praises for Jason Garrett. How'd that work out for us?

Sounds an awful lot like Garrett last year.

But because of one bad season, everyone is ready to dump him. Not me.

I think Garrett will be good some day.

But this mess is not where its going to happen.

I think Garrett's best chance at success in Dallas is by removing TO.

I would take Shanny over both Cupcake and Tecmo any freaking day of the week.

As far as Denver needing 1 win to get into the playoffs and choking (sounds alot like us), their defense freaking blows.

That is why the Bronco's owner told Shanny to get rid of the DC and when Shanny refused is when he got fired.

You mean like when you said Roy11 route running is fine, but HOF Quarterback Troy Aikman disagreed with you?

:D

Sorry, had to throw that out there.
