Steven Jackson - Potential here in Dallas?

He has carried the load for a very awful Rams team for a long time. He is about to hit the wall big time. I personally see signs of it now/already.

No thanks. Get Murray some blocking and we're fine.

Great back when healthy ,which isn't often.
Toooooo fragile.

RB in particular is one position where I do not ever want veteran cast off players. I'd rather have completely inexperienced young legs. We got some production from Sammie Morris and Adrian Murrell but I did not want it to continue once the injury bug was over or the season was. Back to young legs immediately.

Just another huge mistake from our evaluators. Jackson has had a awesome career, you could add up both Felix Jones and Julius Jones careers and they pale in comparison.

Yet another in a long Histroy of GM face plants.

Well I don't agree with that at all. I think when you look at it Stephen Jackson had a great year last season. Over 1,100 yards on the ground and five touchdowns. I think he'd be a great backup to have at this point of his career if we can just get some guys in here who can open up some running lanes. This is just a big issue right now. We are getting nothing in the run game right now and that's really hurting our offense because we are just having to throw the football far too many times.

This is why I don't understand why people are so shocked by all Tony's turnovers. I'm not at all. Think about it. Poor guy has no time to throw, is constantly running for his life, has no running game to lean on, his recievers while talented are not very smart football players especially Bryant and Ogeltree what exactly did people think was gonna happen? Now that's not to say Tony does the deserve blame because clearly he does, but at the end of the day the guy needs some help from his supporting cast. People love to talk about our weapons and how explosive and great they are, but they're just not consistent.

:banghead: it always stings to know we could of had him over julius -_-:bang2:

The pick we gained gave us ware basically. Not a bad trade off.

Is he really that good of a running back?

Or is it just a player the Cowboys passed on and fits the anti Jerry agenda.

Julius looked like a good pick up until big bill messed with his head.

Is that a trick question? He's one of best running backs of the past ten years.

Exactly why I'd pass, 20 carry NFL RBs have a shelf life of 8-10 years or lessin today's game.

Besides Murray is a stud, even Barry and Emmitt would struggle to put up numbers with these scrubs blocking for them.

I know that he probably wouldn't be as good here, but I'm simply pointing out that Jackson has been a great football player over the last decade. It's a shame he'll probably never win a championship. I don't think it'd a bad idea to pick him up if we could establish a competent offensive line, but knowing how Jerry always consistently fails to upgrade the trenches I doubt that happens.

As a backup to Murray? I'd do it in a sec if it were reasonable, but I think Jackson will land a starting job someplace, even if just for another year or two. He's not done yet.

Plus Jackson offers no special teams value, so it's hard to just say he's there exclusively to run the ball, even though he's not the starter.
