The reason I couldn't enjoy when we had a little success in the last 7 years is because I saw nothing we were dominant at. I didn't see an identity. Well, our identity right now is hard hitting and offensive ground domination.

Doesn't matter... The Cowboys can win it all and people would still doubt.. They would say we were lucky... Or it's a down year ... Or enter excuse here

Intellectual dishonesty or ignorance, ANY 5-1 team in the NFL, coming off a dominant victory at the SB champs house, should be considered a "contender". If the Browns were 5-1 and just beat the Hawks in Seattle same thing. I don't care what morons think but I'm getting tired of this kinda crap from people, putting bias above facts and the fact is Dallas is s contender

I don't necessarily think it's hate, I just think it's show me 1st. This Cowboy team seems to be different than the past teams but I can't blame anyone for not jumping on the bandwagon just yet, especially when they haven't played a division game yet.

Yep...this! I don't think Seattle fans thought Dallas had a snowball's chance in the "hot place" of winning yesterday. They thought the o-line was overrated, along with Murray and Tony Turnover. It only added to the shock an awe of being beaten on both sides of the ball. I don't think teams completely fear Dallas just yet...they want to see more "money". Dallas opened up the briefcase in Seattle though...and it looks like they have quite a bit to spend.

I am one of the realists here because I don't live vicariously through this team. There was a time when I did, but found it very unhealthy. I look back on it and wonder why it ever meant so damn much. I keep an even keel and a perspective about what they've done and what might still be possible. It is the only way to enjoy a season that often has many twists and turns. You get to thinking that the team is invincible...you start adding up wins for games that have yet to be played...start disregarding teams thought to be vastly inferior. Seattle fans and likely some players did all of this leading up to the game and were stunned at what occurred...where it occurred, and the manner by which it occurred. Today, they are sifting through the wreckage and feeling disoriented about their team and its future. Like New Orleans, the script has been cruely flipped on a season thought initially to be a coronation. THAT IS WHY YOU PLAY THE DAMN GAMES!

Well, maybe it's also because we haven't had a whole lot of success recently. Tough to enjoy a season when when you don't make the playoffs.

I was on the Eagles forum today and someone said "Lets see how the cowturds look in week 14 in Chicago after they take their beat down butts to the windy city".

We are 5-1. We demolished one team, overcame a 21 point deficit to beat another, blew out the next team, won a gut check game in OT, and then beat up the schoolyard bullies in their own playground.

How many teams do we have to beat before people quit saying "Oh yeah? Well wait until..."?

Jay Cutler is like Romo was much of his career, even worse. Incredible talent but too mistake prone. The Bears are doing with Cutler what the Cowboys had done with Romo, putting the ball in his hands instead of riding Matt Forte.

Cutler will make a lot of mistakes when we play the Bears. At least, that's my prediction.

1) What does ESPN stand for?

It doesn't stand for anything…. but the story is this. When ESPN started in 1979, we were the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (thus, ESPN). However, the full name was dropped in February 1985 when the company adopted a new corporate name --- ESPN, Inc - and a new logo. Based in Bristol, CT., ESPN is 80 percent owned by ABC, Inc., which is an indirect subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The Hearst Corporation holds the remaining 20 percent interest in ESPN.

Where did you hear that?
The Internet.
And you believed it?
Yeah. They can't put anything on the Internet that isn't true.

Amazing how only three states can carry almost half the votes nation-wide.
I wonder how general and presidential elections would go if the voting would open up to online voting.

Well- and abolish the ridiculous electoral college, but I'm not getting into that on this forum.

Or any forum honestly. Debating politics is like trying to run in rancid bacon grease.
It doesn't even smell good and bacon is should always smell good!

Oh yeah- and nobody goes anywhere either.
That happens too.

Well no. The red vs. blue just states which side a state's majority came in on. A state could be red and the vote was 51 vs 49.

I think everyone still needs to see Romo seal a victory past 1st round of playoffs. Personally, I am just enjoying the moment because its been soooo long coming. I didn't think they were winning 7 games after pre-season.

at some point you gotta quit running behind the bandwagon holding on with one hand, and pull yourself up and jump on and enjoy it.

there will be other losses this season. This team is finally playing the way a cowboys team should. The roller coaster is over.

Who said I'm not enjoying it?

Yeah, and he does not seem particularly enamored with learning from his mistakes...Atlanta did the same thing with Matt Ryan, instead of staying with a good running formula they had established...they haven't really been seen since. Few teams are built to withstand what Seattle, San Fran and now Dallas have established. They are all about chuck-ball and as many receivers as they can flood the field with. Even with Peyton Manning and a new and improved defense, Denver still could not get it done in Seattle...they played right into strength of the Seahawks...New Orleans, Green Bay, have all tried chuck-ball at Century Link and failed.

Screw the bouquets. Let me know when the pollsters hose us based on margin of victory, SOS, or out-of-conference schedule. Then and only then might this doubt become relevant.

Good. I hope / expect it to stay that way all season regardless of our record. Doesn't mean a damn thing. Just proves there are enough idiots in this world to go around.
