Still hate Roy?

ditched visor = catches?

Maybe he is able to see better - it's not like Romo is throwing noodle-passes out there.

Yes, because Wade called TO. I thought we should have clocked the ball and kept the TO.
If he had clocked the ball it would have been 4th down after that play and we'd be kicking the FG.

I have to disagree, they would have had ten seconds left at best with only two plays to run before kickning a fg.

I've been preaching patience for weeks. My stance has been that Roy will never live up to his contract and, IMO, is clearly not an uber-great receiver who is our next T.O. But with the emergence of Miles Austin, he's more than capable of being a very good part of this offense; it's just a matter of him and Romo being on the same page.

We saw tonight the start of us getting in that direction. We saw tonight that maybe, just maybe Roy isn't the worst wide receiver in football.

I believe with Olgetree showing possible big-play potential, Roy Williams will help open it up for him.

more catching. less complaining.

btw, was it me or did it seem like romo was forcing the ball to roy a few times? i hope this isn't turning into T.O. part two. Just hit the open guy. i don't care who it is.

The reason alot of us were irked by Roy is that he has been speaking ill of his teammates in interviews recently, even if you had to read a little in between the lines to see it. That is something I don't have tolerance for.

If he plays like he did tonight, keeps his mouth shut or only opens it up to say good things about his teammates and coaches then he will be okay with me - not that that really matters, I'm just explaining where all the RW bile was coming from.

The other thing that makes me wonder is why weren't these two working at things more when all it took was a couple of extra days of throwing on the side to get their timing sorted out?

I'd say Roy's performance tonight was much better, but I wouldn't call it outstanding. Honestly, I expected 5 catches for 75 yards to happen in just about every game for Roy...didn't we all?

Roy had a real nice game, and when they look back in the film room he was open on a couple of other plays.

I'm the biggest Roy critic on this board but if he can get it together we are going to be a very tough team to stop.

We didn't trade 3 picks and give him a 45 million dollar contract for downfield blocking.

It sounds weird but as long as he's a solid compliment to Austin's big play ability, we are a team that is going to cause def coordinators nightmares down the stretch.

I really hate roys first down dance. This isn't detroit where each first down is special. Just head to the huddle, line up and get ready for the next play.

He had 7 targets last week and had 8 this week. Let's not make this out to be something it isn't. That's what BSPN tried to do this week. Roy is getting single covered. You need to take advantage of that.

Same here. It's lame IMO.

i didn't say he was targeted more. i said a few balls looked forced. that is not at all the same thing.

I love it as well. It gets me amped. I know it has to get the team amped. Its not like he's doing a victory dance.

Irvin did the same thing, but not all the time.
