Still missing something on offense. Maybe it’s the TE or RB

I’m in total agreement with this. I feel like we need a AJ Brown/Dez type WR. With what we have I’m getting Tolbert more involved. We also need more of Turpin on the field. Dude is dynamic and we need more dynamic!

They simply need better Red Zone creativity and play designs. It's rare that this team will be able to pound the ball into the end zone, so they need a bit more imagination. Running well-contested fade routes and trap plays between the tackles aren't going to work all that effectively. It's just too congested. So you need some misdirection and such, to keep the defense guessing and to get playmakers in space. Standard plays that worked between the 20s won't work, unless the offensive line is run dominant, and the Cowboys' o-line ain't that.

And Dak needs to execute better, with sharper throws, because there's been times when receivers broke open and Dak missed them.

So, it's on McCarty, and Dak. They both must be better.

We need an impact player to put us over the top. Hope we look for a mid season trade.

We need something TE or RB. We need a 49ers type trade.
Ferguson needs to be a staple of the offense. 7 for 7 today for 77 yards. This will open up the entire offense.

First off, when your starting guards are Zach Martin and Tyler Smith, slim chance any guard you draft will see playing time except for injury. So, you are basically drafting a backup.

Secondly, undrafted free agent Bass has looked good at guard as a backup.

Now, if that guard you wanted to draft in the 2nd round can play center too, then it might make sense.

I think the Cowboys made the right choice drafting TE Schoon in the 2nd.
When you can move Tyler Smith to tackle and bring in a stud, all the rest of your denial doesn't work very well.

How much better is your stud 2nd round guard than Bass? Might not even be better than Bass.

Yes, Smith is hurt (dinged up) right now, but there are not many better than him at OT when healthy.

Bottom line, if the starting OL is healthy, anyone you draft on the OL will likely sit and back up and wait for an injury to play.

Trade a few 2nds for Derrick Henry. We don’t use our 2nds anyway. Would you trade Schoonmaker for Henry?

A midseason trade for an elite TE or RB ?

- What about a midseason trade for a new and better play caller ?

- We already have a big splash RB in Tony Pollard,
and traded for one of the league premiere speedsters in WR Brandin Cook.

- But their tools and skill set are simply being wasted in this conservative Dink n Dunk offense
that very little emphasis on pushing ball downfield or stretching defenses.

- Nor is this a stretch run scheme that opens cutback lanes for big runs,
and Pollard's speed/receiving skills are still being under-utilized in the passing game.
Where are the RB screens and wheel routes in this offense that was expected ?

- And Pollard is Not a Bell-cow,- that's Not his style and game - but we are more trying to grind and
pound him, ( like we did with Zeke ?) I'm not seeing the counter- trey, zone trapping OL play that
stretches out the run lanes and cut backs.

- The front office have provided the players and ingredients, it's up to the head chef to best prepare
the prime dish masterpiece.

When was the last season Smith played every game that year? Here's a hint. Dak and Zeke were not on that team.

If for no other reason that should tell you the front office doesn't understand what wins games. And your premise of health does not stand up to facts.

A 25 year old rookie project? Should have drafted Devon Achane with that pick.

Missing a healthy offensive line and a clutch QB. Good luck finding any of those by the trade deadline.

The change in blocking scheme has also made things more difficult on the personnel.
Change of blocking scheme, and not having our starters on the field. It takes a while for an oline to gel.

Run game will look better. I hope Luepke gets involved more often.

Cooks is our missing impact player.

He hasn't had the production he's had in the rest of his career here.

He had an improved game this week. Get him producing as our deep threat, as we have our impact player.

We’re not going to add a player like McCaffery or Deebo. They just aren’t available, unfortunately.

I’ve said that I don’t think Dak has a handle on this offense yet. He looked better today, and I expect he’ll continue to improve as the concepts become more ingrained through repetition. The most troubling thing right now is our lack of red zone production. I think the play calling has more to do with that than the personnel. We’ll get it figured out. If we were converting in the rz like last year, we’d be undefeated and probably the best team in the NFC.

Not referring to this post in particular, but I knew I’d come here after the game and there would be complaining about the offense. Doesn’t matter that we destroyed the Pats, it will never be good enough for some people. They seem happiest when we lose. Again, not talking about you.

We wish someone would trade us a player like CMac. Dang Panthers smh.
he’s been injury prone and cost an entire draft. it’s working out really well. but was ivey risky. jonathan taylor is out there and should be less to acquire, but he’s going to be looking for a huge payday
