Cowboys 4th round pick. Michael Hamlin, SS, Clemson, 6'2", 215. 91 tackles, 6 INTs, 7 Pass Breakups. Hamlins side by side at Safety tandem? It could happen.

yeah I could imagine it...I would call them "H2Ohhhh!!" If they both played up to their potential...it would be awesome!

Man, this not only looks like a dream of a draft (at least through round 5), but a very realistic one. I have a couple of questions:

1. Who would you rather have for a WR - Hakeem or Robiskie? Percy Harvin might make a good 3 WR, and if so, do you spend a high draft pick on a third receiver?

2. SS - I see that you opted to go receiver with the 2nd rounder instead of SS. Is that because you view Hamlin as good as Patrick Chung (who many on this board seem to think is our choice at SS) but could be had in the 4th round, or you think that receiver is a higher priority than safety?

Other than that, this has to be one of the best mocks I've seen in a while.

I actually like Harvin the best of the 3, but I think Nicks is a classic #2 guy and the best fit. I would not at all gripe about Robiskie though.

Not really. I just think the better value will be there at WR over SS when we pick at 51.

Other than that, this has to be one of the best mocks I've seen in a while.
Thanks.

Robiski just seems to make plays...

He isn't special at any one thing but he does all very well

same can be said about his physical attributes nothing special but all good

I wouldn't be surprised to see a run on WR's start as early as round one (much like OT's last year). I could see teams like the Jets at #17 taking someone like Bey. The Bears at #18 need a WO as does TB, PHI, MIA, BAL, TEN, etc.

I'm predicting five WR's to go in round one (Crabtree 1, Maclin 2, Harvin 3a and Bey 3b and either Britt or Nicks sneaking into late one.

Like it!

I'd be shocked if Nicks is there. IMO, he is a future #1 WR. That would be great value if he fell to us. he could be gone in the late 1st round to either Tenn or NY...but surely if he's there for Jacksonville in Rd 2, he'll be gone.

I have mixed feeling on M Thomas.

I don't see how Bey is even competing for the top 45 picks.

1. Crabtree
2. Maclin
3. Nicks
4. Harvin
5. Britt

I really don't think more than four go in the 1st.

I could see a WR run except for two things...OTs and DEs. I think this is where there will be runs. DBs and WRs should fall a bit.

My Revised MockDraft- with this weeks developments:
Rnds
2 - Ron Brace - BOST.COLL - DT -6'3 1/2 333 , IF Brace is gone Sean Smith -UT - CB/S - 6'3 210
3 - Brian Robiske - OU - WR - 6'2 210
4 - Jason Watkins - Fla - OT - 6'5 313
4 - Morty Ivy - WV - 6'2 240 - ILB
5 - Demetrius Byrd - LSU - 6'0 200 WR 4.4 SPEED
5 - Curtis Taylor - LSU - S - 6'2 210
6 - If Brace is gone Antonio Dixon - MIAMI -DT - 6'3 326 IF WE GET BRACE THEN:
Ray Feing - BYU - 6'4 337 -G -
7 - Zach Follet - CAL - 6'1 231- OLB - MOVE TO ILB AND ST PLAYER
7 - Jorrosko Lane - Texas A&M - 6'0 295 - FB

This gives us everything we need i changed the thinking of Qb after we get a viable BU.
Sean Smith is a CB/S HYBRID WHO IS A JUNIOR AND BY NEXTY YEAR SO WATCH OUT!
I WANT Brace but im not sure he 's there in the third neither will Smith,it's one or the other.
The lb's gives us depth we need and Watkins could be Flo's replacement ROBOISKE WAS SOLID AT THE COMBINE AND WOULD BE A STEAL THIRD RD.
I say let's roll with Hatcher and Bowen and we have a athletic 295lb in Marcus Dixon on the PS.
Taylor gives us size at the S spot.

Nicks reminds me of Bouldin: I dont' think he'll be there: but I'd be happy if he was. I don't know anything abou the safety from Clemson(Hamlin) Is it POSSIBLE our drafting is all of a sudden good enough to get Scandrick in the 5th last season and a starting safety this season in the 4th? That would be unreal IMO. What if Chung were still available in the 2nd? I think we're OK with just going BPA. Although WR and Safety are bigger needs I still don't think we should reach. we'll see.............

Lane weighs 295 lbs now? Keep him the hell away from this team.

Really? In what way? He reminds me a bit of Tony Hill.

Probably because he's a big possesion reciever.Gets alot of his yards after the catch.

That and the way he turns corners on routes. He has a glide on a turn.

The more I think about your mock draft the more I start drooling. Absolutely DROOLING!

One question: Robert Ayers (DE, TENN.)?

I really like the Hakeem Nicks pick, but I really do not like the Rhett Bomar pick.

Man, have the needs of this team ever changed. Means my Mock Draft has to as well. Some things will remain the same, but I feel better that Ron Brace may be gone because Ratliff is the NT for sure after today. I still want Duke Robinson more than any pick, but he won't be there. I think WRs will be value at where we pick, so...

Cowboys 2nd round pick. Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina, 6'1", 212. A true #2 WR, who has good hands and will move the chains. A true compliment to Roy Williams. Another option might be Percy Harvin of Florida.

3rd round pick from Cleveland. Derry Beckwith, ILB, LSU, 6'0", 242. The Cowboys are very high on him. This means I have dropped my pet cat Daniel Holtzclaw. Yes, it hurt. It would mean that down the road we have LSU Tigers side by side at ILB. Beckwith is a tackling machine who is smart.

4th from round Detroit. Lawrence Sidbury, DE/OLB, Richmond, 6'2", 265. This guy is from a small school but is all about production. 6.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss. He never stops coming for the ball. His only negative is the small school, but don't let that stop anyone. I cannot stop thinking he is a steal.

Cowboys 4th round pick. Michael Hamlin, SS, Clemson, 6'2", 215. 91 tackles, 6 INTs, 7 Pass Breakups. Hamlins side by side at Safety tandem? It could happen.

Cowboys 5th round pick. Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State, 6'2", 218. It is time to develop some QB depth. A good 3rd string QB who could develop for the future. Talent is not a question. Accepted money from a booster and got expelled. No boosters in the NFL. He is the QB I think best fits our system and has a chance to progress.

5th round pick from Tennessee. Mike Thomas, WR, Arizona, 5'9", 187. A 2nd WR? Actually, a big time Punt Return threat who also has guts. Isn't afraid to go over the middle. Not likely to be a star, but can develop into a 3rd WR in the slot. We need to fill that spot. This kid can develop and will push Crayton. A leader.

Compensatory 5th round pick. Louis Vazquez, OG, Texas Tech, 6'5", 333. When you think strong, this is the guy. 39 reps of 225 at the Combine. Played is passing Offense. Could develop into a steal.

6th round pick from Miami. DeAngelo Smith, CB, Cincinnati, 5'11", 194. 9 pass breakups in 2008. 5 INTs. Provides some depth. Value pick.

Compensatory 6th round pick. Myron Pryor, NT, Kentucky, 6'0", 319. This is a Chris Canty-like steal. If it weren't for injuries he could be a day 1 pick. Depth who can develop. 11 TFL, 4.5 sacks.

7th round pick from Detroit. Ryan Delrosal, OT, Dixie State, 6'5", 313. Heck of an athlete. Would you believe a sub 5.00 time in the 40 for a man that big? He did it and is strong too. A project, but good depth.

Cowboys 7th round pick. Dallas Reynolds, C, BYU, 6'5", 328. Depth across OL is needed badly. Don't even try to argue with me about his name. Fits this team. He is versatile. Can play all 5 OL positions.

Cuss it and discuss it.

This is still one of the best mocks I've seen for us thus far. Most of these picks should be within our reach, which makes this mock even more impressive.

If you've done your due diligence on your picks, I could only wish that somehow the Cowboys brass could get their eyes on this.

Nicks will go late in the first round. Bomar will go early fourth, late third. But man, if we got half of those picks, I would pee my pants.
