Still think Washington is our biggest threat?

Deadskins are cooked and done. IMO, only competition is Eagles in the division.

Don't count the Giants out just yet. They have very winnable games the next two weeks.

Then face us in Week 12.

lol, they will change to another team. It is anybody but Dallas, didn't you know that?

You're whining, someone has to be named as a threat. Kinda like the threat to the Patriots would be the Jets.

From a psychological perspective, a win over the Saints would be huge. (Actually, any win over any team would be huge, given the circumstances.)

But from a purely practical tiebreaker standpoint, the Saints are actually the least important opponent remaining on the Cowboys' schedule. They are not a division rival or common opponent of NFC East teams. (Conference record is a rather distant tiebreaker, doesn't kick in until after several other tiebreakers have failed to decide.)

Whoever wins the east will be done in the first round of the playoffs so it really does not matter.

I'm shocked how this is turning out.

The Commanders are one of the healthiest teams in the NFL. So it isn't like they have a bunch of injury replacements losing games. and they don't have much draft picks coming up. they are going to have to dive into big name free agents to improve the club, like they used to do. LOVE IT

That's what many people probably said of the NFC East back in 2011, and look what happened that year. The 9-7 division champion Giants won the Super Bowl.

I'm not comparing that Giants team to this Cowboys team, but I am saying that you can't just dismiss the playoffs because a team looks bad at the moment.

the difference between us and the giants in 2011 is that our D is putrid. D is most important when going into the playoffs.
And it is not going to get much better no matter what. The Giants in 2011 got some of their people back towards the end of the season; much like the Packers did at the end of their SB season. Both teams have more talent then we do. And with the loss of Waters our O line is once again declining.

I believe he was referring to the media's favorite for the NFC East, not Dallas' biggest threat. Many ESPN guys were saying this was still Washington's division to lose before last night despite their record.

Dallas takes 5 of 7 and finishes 10-6
Eagles have a softer schedule and may get to 8-8
Commanders go 2-5 down the stretch to finish at 5-11
Giants go 3-5 and finish at 5-11

Giants are 2-6 and I think they will lose to Packers, Cowboys, SD, Seattle and Detroit, so I think they finish 5-11 or 6-10 at best, imo.

Dallas definately needs to remain undefeated in the NFC east. If they can beat all three again and go 6-0 in the division then they should get the division wrapped up. They just need 1 other win in there, outside the division, to win this thing.

Dallas likes to make things interesting. It was their division to lose 2 weeks ago.

I called us dead 2 weeks ago. But now we are 2-6. A win against Raiders and Packers will make us 4-6 before playing against Dallas.

If Dallas lose to Saints they will be 5-5 before our game.

You think Giants won't play their brains out in Cowboys game?

Don't count the Giants out yet. Just saying.

I've been saying it for a while, I'm not scared of the Deadskins.

RG3 struggles in the pocket because he can't see over the linemen.

As I stated repeatedly, teams will find a way to *schematically* beat the read-option. They don't need to purposely kill the QB. And as I said repeatedly, teams will just blitz the read-option because it's really based off a play fake and the best way to beat play action is to blitz it.

RG3 doesn't throw it well when moving to his left.

Their defense STINKS. Their defense is much worse than the Cowboys defense right now. But, people are insistent on basing it on the defensive ranking of 'yards allowed' which is an inaccurate and archaic analysis of defensive play.

Kyle Shanahan is not a good O-Coordinator.

They are terrible on special teams.

The only players that concern me on the Deadskins are Jordan Reed, Pierre Garcon, Alfred Morris, Ryan Kerrigan and DeAngelo Hall.

Oh how quickly we forget.

Washington, at 3-6, is in the exact same position they were in last year before they finished on a 7 game win streak to win the division at 10-6.

Also, as bizarre as it is. The Giants are not out of the picture. They play Oakland (who got spanked by PHI last week), and then a Rodgers-less Packers team the next week while we’re on a bye.

If we lose to the Saints, and they beat those two teams, then we’re playing for a first place tie in 3 weeks.

And best fact of all, the Giants have all 3 of those games at home. Yup. 3 home games in a row. Coming off a bye week. With a lot of players getting healthy.

A young Oakland team flying across the country and a Rodgersless pack team makes this a possibility for sure.
Also Beason has helped solidify their weakest position. jpp playing better and seems more healthy and the streaky Eli has stopped giving gifts.
A battle in ny for first place would be uncomfortable .....
