Stock Up
Prescott - he handled all of the pressure on a rookie quarterback in his first start much better than I could have hoped for.
Morris - the team's best running back right now. Understands the scheme and his keys and gets what's blocked. He should get more carries, but keeping up appearances will prevent it.
Tyron Smith - quietly handled the player who gave him fits last year. But that neck issue is worrisome.
Morris Claiborne - his preseason play is carrying over into the regular season. Amazing what a little training and self-confidence can do.
Terrell McClain - so far, so good. One game down and he's still healthy. He showed how he's kept Thornton off the field to this point.
Sean Lee - again, so far, so good for health. He was all over the place.
Dan Bailey - what a weapon. Best in the game right now.
Stock Down
Dez Bryant - he was handled far too easily by average cornerbacks. And in his one big chance to shine, he came up short. In his defense, his coaches do him no favors with scheme and play calling. You know where he is, what he's running, and where he'll be far too often.
Jason Witten - can anybody on this team finally realize what he is and what he isn't? He is a decent, straight down the field pass receiver who will you get you nothing more than the spot where he makes the catch. Stop using him in any type of play that goes laterally. It's a waste of time and an advantage to the defense.
Doug Free - once again exposed as the weakest link on this line. JPP with one arm repeatedly stole his lunch money. And that stance? He may as well stand on one foot for as close as he keeps his feet together. He gives defenders the advantage right from the start. How they ever let him keep that initial set-up stance is beyond me.
Tyron Crawford - remind everyone again what it is that you're being (grossly over)paid for?
Jack Crawford - although I can't blame him for being the player that he is, I can blame anyone and everyone who thought he'd be acceptable at defensive end. Each and every thing that was said about this team's defensive end position was proven true.
Anthony Hitchens - he's not the answer for this team at middle linebacker, but just a guy they had on the roster when McCalin decided to quit life yet again. We'll all soon be clamoring for anyone and everyone to replace him. Get healthy Nzeocha!
