up:

Dez- only skill player on offense to play a good game.

Hitch- Best game he has played since his rookie season.

Lee- As usual, was all over the field

Brown- Other than one ball that was overthrown, he played a great game. A steal in the sixth round.

Jones/Bailey- money in the bank

Wilber- Made the play of the game

Mayowa- maybe getting benched motivated him. Played a solid game.

Down:

Free- words can't express just how bad he was last night. Reminded me of the Minnesota playoff game where ray Edwards single handedly ended Colombo's career. Free has to be replaced this offseason. Period.

Escobar- yes some of the calls were borderline ridiculous but he is a HUGE liability in the run game. I would just assume play an extra OL and take out chances. We really miss Hanna and Swaim.

Carr- Made one good play down field on treadwell but gave up uncontested catches all night long. Don't know why teams just don't run slants on him every snap. He simply can't keep up.

And yet Escobar had some great blocks against the Commanders allowing some long runs by Zeke.
Carr, hard to defend when out of the normal d, when Marinelli decided to blitzed what seemed like very other play. They didn't give up any more catches to wide open receivers than normal.

A lot of those guys are world class athletes they were going against. It's okay to whiff or hold sometimes just to try to save your QBs life. We got out with a victory, that's the best we can ask for at this time.

Scandrick's stock is rising in my opinion, he is starting to look more like his old self out there. I wouldn't mind seeing more of him over Carr in the base defense.

What was wrong with the playcalling? The coaches can't block for the line or throw the ball for Dak.

exactly so if they arent doing it well, or the defense is playing against it well, adjust. If for some reason the deep pass works, our coaches wont use it again. If the corners are playing tight, we dont adjust quickly. Many times a screen or slant could have worked but if a play worked, we wont do it again. We have this train of thought "if it works, get away from it"

Last night was the game i love for Dak, learn learn learn. Only expeirence can do that for him. Our coaches need to react and help him at times, if hes shakey, calm him down wiht some quick passes, use Beasley, something. Why isnt Butler used more if Williams and Bryant or covered. How is it we have all these weapons but we arent using them.

As i try to say, play with what the field is giving you, if Beasley is tearing it up, play him til they stop it. If there is a weak player on the opposing defense, target it. A few things Linehan could have done to help Dak. Just a bad game for our coaches as for our players. I expected the players to have hiccups as they were facing a fantastic defense. Ours did extremely well considering the offense had problems as well.

Free is done. Chaz Green will be handed the starting RT job next season on a silver platter. Hope he doesn't waste the opportunity

The plays didn't work. Therefore, the playcalling was bad.
We call great plays against bad defenses, but we call awful plays against good defenses. I do wish our coaches would learn to call better plays against good defenses.

Just because they call a deep pass doesn't mean Dak will throw the deep pass. They call everything. It's up to the QB where the ball goes.

He had several deep receivers wide open against Washington, but he chose to go underneath.

Down :

Playcalling, everyone was upset over it and it was a head shaker at best.

The rest i agree with.

Here let me help Erod. I got a guide for you.

Low scoring game = blame playcalling.
High scoring game = praise Linehan's growth as a playcaller.

Except that the "some reason" a deep pass or some other play works is often that there was a defensive breakdown. We may call it again, but the defense is different (they adjust too), or the defenders don't make a mistake, and so our guy isn't open, and so we don't throw the ball there.

Oh, I know. I just can't help myself.

They just need to call the touchdown play more often. That's all.
There's an old story about Japanese businessmen visiting one of the American movie studios, considering investing. The studio head explains, "We make 15 movies a year. Five make a ton of money, five break even and five lose money." The Japanese huddle amongst themselves for a bit, and then ask a question: "Why don't you just make the five movies that make a lot of money?"

Im about 75% confident he can do the job.

I'm 0% confident he can stay healthy while doing the job.

I would like to see us keep Doug Free on a better deal as our backup or just draft a guy.

I like Chad Wheeler from USC as of today as a mid round pick.
