Stoops... next Jimmah Johnson or Steve Spurrier??

please. I hate stoops with a passion but he IS a great coach..at least he has been in college. He's considered one of the best there for sure. won a national title. has won numerous conference championships. He gets a lot out of his players even though he can be an arse

I dont know how he would do in the NFL but he is still young...and very fiery. He certainly no gimmick type coach.

He can be fiery all he wants he still gets outcoached a lot.

He will see Pete Carolls, Nick Sabans, and Les Miles coaches every week in the NFL.

Also he would be 0-3 in national title games had he played the Hurricanes who got screwed back in 2000.

You wanna give someone like Belichick 2 weeks to prepare for a Stoops coached team? We'd get emberassed.

I am a UT fan and I am not for or against, per say. If Stoops were to become the Cowboy's head coach, I would support him 100%. If not, that's fine too. We're 2-0 the last two seasons and I believe we have a better then average chance of continuing that trend in the upcoming year. Time will tell but for me, I call it as I see it. In this case, I see Stoops as a very good Football Coach. Simple as that.

Statements like this make me LOL. And your proof is? They didn't play each other so to say OU WOULD have lost is really a stupid comment. I believe FSU was a huge favorite in that game and they lost.

Really, who cares Stoops isn't leaving OU to go to the Cowboys.

do you even remember the game? did you watch it? LSU totally dominated OU that day...they bashed Jason White and stuffed OU's run game...OU had like 150 yds of total offense and White was sacked 6 or 7 times..

only a couple of LSU turnovers kept the game close...one of OU's TD drives started on the 2 or 3 yd of LSU

it might have only been 21-14, but there was no doubt wbout who the far superior team was...and there was Stoops at halfitme, making a total jackarse of himself on nation TV about which team had the better defense

Im really looking the other way when you reply to Stoops threads. Ive seen just about all of his game. All the little ones. All of the big ones.

For someone who knows absolutely nothing about Stoops and the Oklahoma program. You for some reason like to come out and be the know all be on all on Stoops.

Do us all a favor. Take that arm chair NCAA knowledge you feel that you have. Roll it all up nicely - tuck it all in and shove it.

Did you see the LSU game - Did you see the USC game - Did you see the Boise State game.

Fact of the matter - the coach cant make the plays for the players.

He coached them to where they got. Ill take that NC title and all those championships and wins he has.

I'm not a fan of OU but Stoops has done a very good job with OU and I think he is a very good coach and eventually, he'll transition to NFL as a coach. I don't know whether he'll be like JJ or Spurrier, no one knows for sure.

OU would have lost. No shot they beat that Miami team.

But hey can't take anything away from OU because its not their fault the right team wasnt in that game.

Miami proved for the next 2 seasons though that they got screwed over.

Anyways Stoops still has been outcoached bigtime... Especially recently.
