Parcells was at the end of his career when he came to Dallas. Helped build it up from the 5-11 years but not the same energy and drive as he previously had, and he was only 62.

Bill Parcells was washed well before he came to Dallas.

OR, just spit ballin' here but what if you talked with Bill & he said I just don't know that I have the drive to be the HC BUT I'm willing to help you out. Maybe you hire Vrabel as your HC and I will be a consultant as needed. But you need to give him full control of the roster. McClay & staff do their job just as they do them now but final decision lies with HC.

Totally concur. I laugh at all these threads on how to “fix” this team. Can’t be fixed with a Jones as GM. Once we are all on the same page there we know what to expect: decades of futility (done) and oncoming years of frustration and losing. No change at the top yields the same thing we’ve seen since January 1996.

I'm sure he does ... but he's like 26 behind to tie. So, that would take 2 REALLY good seasons. Realistically 3 seasons even with a good team. At his age, does he see 3 more years of that grind?
