It's just a meaningless verbal crutch he uses. I can't believe anyone would ascribe any significance to it.

Mike isn't a polished media guy. Who cares? The last guy was, and he couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag.
You forgot, with a knife...

Sorry but I still say it is way off base. to me anyway. So he has a saying. Garrett had ... it's a process .... I hated when Garrett would say this about EVERY injury ... day to day ....And at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.
Garrett borrowed "Its a process" from Saban. The it's a process standard at the University of Alabama is/was an entirely different standard than the Cowboys version of Its a process.

So Garrett screwed it up. Like he did most everything else.

We talked about this last year. And many said it was no big deal...That people talk a certain way, and it doesn't mean anything. Well, just like anything else, it does mean something. It means you have no substance.

Almost every time, or at least every other time, someone asks McCarthy a question, he prefaces it with the phrase, "I think it's just like anything else."

No, Mike.

It's not just like anything else. If you think that, then stop thinking.

I always look for what people mean when they're saying something. What I'm hearing when he says "I think it's just like anything else," I'm hearing him say, I don't really have a good answer for you so I'm going to give you some generic line comparing your specific question to generally "anything else."

At the beginning of the season, McCarthy talked about The Standard. But the standard he's setting with this generic phrase "like anything else" is the equivalent of Jason Garrett responding by clapping.

It's meaningless, and it's a cover up for his shortcomings. Everything is OK, because this loss is just like anything else.
It's coach speak....he doesn't care what fans think and he shouldn't, but he has to meet with the press and gives them generic answers and get the hell out as soon as possible.....I don't blame him

When ya got the 3 stooges as GM, HC and QB running your team, the funny team results should not be questioned.

I just can't figure out which one is Moe. The supposed "smart" one.
There's a lot more stooges than that, when you throw in the haters and trolls.

My issue with McCarthy is he doesn't scheme to get players the ball. We see the 49ers and Eagles finding ways to get the ball into the hands of their playmakers and all we see is 9 or 10 throws at Gallup with 3 being caught. Throw more to Lamb and Ferguson. Get Pollard the ball in space and I don't mean screens.
