Well, when you're about to win the Super Bowl you kind of want to know who the coach will be.

It won't matter because there are still many fans out there who are praising Jerry right now for making this decision. Too many simpletons out there who keep thinking Jerry is greatness and keep filling up his stadium.
I don't know man...that's probably broad stroking it a bit. I think a vast majority of the fanbase hates Jerry Jones and just can't reconcile that against supporting the team that they love. So they keep going to the games and buying the merch etc... I've changed over to being happy for the players when they win but also being happy when Jerry fails. Win/Win.

Regardless of whomever Jerry agrees to award the HC job to in the coming year, he'll still remain as the curse that holds his team hostage. Backing up his leadership, Son Stephen will surely "have his back" in supporting Jerry's stubborn refusal to hire a legit GM and tends to also support an ineffective policy of avoiding the signing of top tier veteran free agents. They both strongly insist upon stingy ways of financial management.

I'm a Micah fan so holster your pistol. He does have the option of not saying either of those things, however.
However? Don't fall into the sewer trap set by the trolls. Have you ever seen them post anything productive or positive?

Yes, however. As in alternatively.

Trolls...you guys and your trolls and haters. Honestly man, I haven't seen you post anything productive or positive either. Just spending your days taking swipes at everyone who isn't being positive about the team. In turn, you've become one of the most negative posters on here. Hopefully the off season gives you some fresh batteries.

Penalty Prone

It’s hard enough to get opposing offenses off the field in today’s game and even harder when you give away yardage. This season, only three teams committed more penalties than the Cowboys. If this was a one-year issue, it could be overlooked, but that’s not the case. Dallas was whistled for the eight fewest penalties per game in the three seasons prior to McCarthy’s arrival, but during his five seasons, they averaged a league-high 6.8 infractions per game.

Bending and Breaking

Twice during the McCarthy era, Dallas posted a bottom-10 Defense+ grade from our custom metric, and the inability to force teams to settle was the culprit this season (ranking 32nd in red zone defensive efficiency). If you look over the past two seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are both top-four red zone defenses and both rank among the top-four in win percentage. This league rewards offense in a major way, thus putting an extreme level of importance on a team’s ability to hold their opponent to field goal attempts, something that was a clear weakness during McCarthy’s final season at the helm in Dallas.

Defense+:

  • 2020: D (ranking: 24th)
  • 2021: B- (ranking: 4th)
  • 2022: B+ (ranking: 1st)
  • 2023: B (ranking: 5th)
  • 2024: D+ (ranking: 25th)
Offense+:

  • 2020: C (ranking: 23rd)
  • 2021: B(ranking: 8th)
  • 2022: B- (ranking: 7th)
  • 2023: B (ranking: 4th)
  • 2024: D+ (ranking: 23rd)

No, Jerry wasn't blind in his evaluation of his current team. He has taken a new direction.

Because this a great job. The best available job on the market ... by a mile.. this is the DALLAS COWBOYS. We have a QB. We're set up to win now. This isn't a full rebuild. We have pieces. Evidenced by a half decent record last year. And that was without our QB.
Please Stop!!!

It doesn't matter.

As long as Jerry has an open door policy for player grievances, and calls the shots on who starts and sits based on contracts, and picks the coordinators, then it doesn't matter who the coach is.

They are castrated upon entrance.
Im not worried
Im just having fun
I know that we have no shot with a real HC
Hopefully Jerry gets ridiculed in the media when Moore declines to interview and Jerry has to bring Zimmer
