I'm not sure Bledsoe could beat a paper bag at this point.

Give Romo a week of practicing with the first team and a game plan centered on his talents and lets see what he does.

Keep in mind, I've defended Bledsoe hard on this board before. I just think he has lost it - badly.

I just made a post similar to this in another thread, but it's relevant here. A week of gameplanning IMO is outweighed by the week the Panthers get to prepare for him.

And we saw a few different plays with Romo in there. I think BP had a few plays in mind for Romo whenever he got in.

I'll take that. Aikman was 0 and 15 his 1st year. Edit: 1st year starting that is.. :)
Aikman was 0-11, he was injured for 5 games including the lone win of that dismal '89 campaign.

Im glad Romo got the nod but it really doesnt matter who the QB is if the Oline doesnt step it up they were terrible today. They were picking up the wrong guys and when they did make the right reads they were getting beat. The running game was non existant as well. The Giants whipped the Cowboys on both lines, that is the real story of the game.

And when Romo is prepared for... I expect this road trip to be brutal if Romo is given the reigns.

Please o please Peplaw06. Please tell me what we are giving up by going with Romo over Drew. Please tell me. You have been very critical of the youngster. What does Drew bring that Romo doesn't and how will it equate to more wins?

Point is, he's 0 - 1. Whoopie! It's time to get on with Romo and let him take his bumps and bruises now..

BP has tried to force his way to a Super Bowl by signing old QBs and receivers. He went cheap on a running back by moving out of the 1st. (I do like Julius Jones though)

The way to the Super Bowl starts with a franchise QB and we don't have one currently, especially in Bledsoe. Let's see if Romo can be the franchise, and if not, lets go draft one.

the better question would be what does Romo bring over Bledsoe... aside from "mobility" and "moxie"?

How much tape could Carolina actually have on Romo? Are they preparing against the 4th Q kneeldown?

Doesn't matter anyway, the point is Bledsoe is done. He has looked semidecent against the Texans and Titans, but other than that has been been awful.

Again, this is not knee jerk Bledose hate, I thought he was a better QB than most last year. But age is what it is, and it has taken its toll this year.

We aren't winning spit with Drew at QB this year. I highly doubt we win spit with Romo this year either, but I'm ready to throw in that towel.

Quicker decision making.

Granted, some of those decisions aren't great, but at least they're quick :)

Bledsoe sucks. Get over it already.

That's the difference between us. I don't throw in towels when we're .500 after 6 games.

And to answer your question about what they've seen from Romo on tape... I'll tell you what I saw anyway. I saw a nervous QB who is indiscriminate in his throws and will turn the ball over.

That's exactly what happened. The defensive line did pretty well in my opinion, but Barber and Jacobs looked awesome out there tonight, and it wasn't like there were many gaping holes. You definitely have to give the Giants a lot of credit. That running offense is going to tear up almost everyone they play as long as Tiki stays healthy.

We really need to bring in some more fresh blood along the offensive line.

As Romo throws another pick... "well hell at least it wasn't a sack."

We should've given up on Vinny but we didn't. Consequently, we wound up not knowing what Henson could do, and wasted 2 more years, where we would've gone after a QB.

Good Post Doomsday....they beat us like a rented mule. They made plays...we didn't. I'll say this, even if we don't win another game this year I don't want to go back to Bledsoe....it's time to move forward. If it gets bad, maybe we get in the Brady Quinn sweepstakes. I want to see what we have regardless of the consequences. It's time to try something new.

OK. Since you are being rude and answering a question with a question, I'll take a shot at it.

1) Quick release.

2) Quick reads

3) Can be used in a more creative fashion.

4) Very enthusiastic

5) No deer in the head light look.

6) Injects energy into the team.

7) Spreads the ball around.

8) Keeps his head upfield and not at the oncoming rush.

I'll give you more when you give me some.

So you approved of that Bledose throw at the end of the first half?

I'm throwing in the towel on Bledsoe, not the team. Actually despite the hadnwringing, I thought the defense played pretty well given the circumstances.

I saw a nervous QB who is indiscriminate in his throws and will turn the ball over.
Just to be clear, which QB are we talking about here?

Yeah but that was later in the season and we didn't have the same talent level we do now.
