Looking at the redzone numbers strangely Dallas is 1st in the NFL in redzone in home games 82.76% success at home yet on the road Dallas is 29th in redzone in road games 34.48% success. I would expect a certain amount of drop off on the road but that is a pretty staggering difference in success rate.

That's incredibly weird....that's not signs of a bad redzone team that's signs of they just need to get on the same page and maybe switch things up on the road....

Is that just scoring or TD’s?
It is strange to be that different

I don't know but the difference of home and away are so far apart, more so that I see from any other team.

It may just be that the Cowboys have played better teams on the road..

Pats (9-6), Bucs (11-4), Chiefs (11-4), Chargers (8-7), Vikings (7-8), WFT (6-9), Saints (7-7) and G-Men (4-11) on the road so far .

As opposed to

Gmen (4-11) , Philly (8-7) , Denver (7-8) Vegas (8-7), WFT (6-9), Panthers (6-9).

That's two elite teams, 2 pretty good teams and 2 decent ones ones on the road.. vs no elite teams and just a 2 or 3 decent ones at home.

Sometimes the simplest answer is the best one.. Competition.

its not that stage this has been discussed think about it in much more simplified terms,

we are like many teams much better at home, so when ion the road you get that teams best game..

thats it..i know its been while since we had this type of Home field advantage and see that players play better at home.

I viewed that as well but again the drop off too great and frankly some of those road games we did good in redzone and horrific in some others

Jerry installed a secret system at Jerry World.

Dak, Kellen Moore and the receivers can all talk to each other during the plays...

I think some dropped off is expected but going from #1 in the NFL at home vs 29th on the road? that is very big gap.

Well you know there is going to be a drop off home to road because of the crowd noise issues. I also think the 4 out of 5 games on the road since right before Thanksgiving hurt them a lot because they were missing so many dudes in that stretch.. Amari for two.. CD for one and a half, Wilson for two, Pollard for one, Jarwin for 4, Tyron for 3, the revolving door at three positions on the o-line. LG, RT and LT. .. All that contributes to lack of continuity on offense which gets compounded on the road and then multiplied in the red zone. Oh and did I mention the QB fighting his mechanics and his confidence along with an injury.. I have always maintained that it was just a matter of time before Dak found his groove again and Moore and him got together and figured this whole cover 2 shell thing out. I think they started the journey last Sunday and completed the trip last night.

I agree with you on pretty much all of that but the number is just staggering. Most teams have a certain amount of drop off, few exception where some team have better road redzone numbers than home but for the most part there is not the big drop off as the Cowboys have shown.

To be honest I think it's mostly a product of the scheduling quirk.. The offensive slump coincided with all the injuries and other chaos AND a stretch of 4 out of 5 games on the road. Had the schedule worked out differently the numbers at home would be a little lower and the road numbers would have been a little better.

The last skins game alone really effected that stat then because we kicked all night
But those stats are really crazy
Home is really amazing and road amazingly bad
In the playoffs you have to get 7’s
