Will premiere tomorrow. Looks very ET/Super 8, which is completely fine with me.

Yeah it reminded me of super 8/ET.

Hopefully it will be a little better than super 8 which was a let down imo.

3 episodes in. I love the 80s feel to it. They did a great job in that aspect.

My only issue with shows like this is that they start off so good primarily due to the "OMG! What is it? What is happening?" suspense story line which draws you in. Then, once you start to get some answers, you start thinking, "Okay, it's not as exciting to watch as it was before we got some answers, but it is still a good show". Then as the second season starts, you realize, "This is just like most other TV shows now".

Wayward Pines was like that. Started off interesting but they revealed the big mystery halfway through the first season. Then they came out with a second season with the same exact plot line.

Eh, this show didn't give me that feeling of "What is gong on?" - This show is more about the homage and atmosphere, at least for me. Also the coming of age stuff. I'm also still intrigued by Elevens character, the show really made me sympathize with her.

Yeah, though it could be like Lost or Twin Peaks. All questions, no resolutions (or disappointing ones).

Or they could introduce a suspenseful storyline in season 1 and then barely touch on it for six seasons.

Very true :D

Honestly, I'm so sick and tired of shows that have that "big mystery" and then just drag it out on and on to keep people interested. It's so lazy, and rarely is the payoff worth the time invested.

Tried watching it, made it through first episode. I'm done. Meh.

I watched the entire thing. The 80s feel was cool, but the subject matter could have been a lot better. It was kind of generic.

I'm 6 episodes in. I like it, but Wynona Ryder was a horrible miscast to me. Seems she got it more for her name and that she comes naturally crazy.

About 4 episodes into it and frankly I am mixed on it.

So far it seems Meh to me..take it or leave it...however with that attitude I find it amazing that with each episode I get shocked that the episode is already over.

By that I mean that normally if I am not into a show or just think it is meh/take it or leave it...the show seems to drag on for each episode.

Normally it is only shows that I really really like (GOT for example) that the episodes seem to end before I realize it.

Just odd.

I do like the young kids vibe to it...it reminds me of a Stephen King book (whether that be it or dream catchers or others he has written with kids)...also the Stranger Things title with the fonts reminds me of Stephen King for some reason.

However...Wynona Ryder (sp?)...finding her really annoying already.

I've watched all 8 episodes. I liked it. Mostly because of the 80s vibe to it... my favorite decade for movies.

Yeah, I watched the last two. It does have a movie type ending but left it open enough for a second season I guess, although I think a second season might be a totally different story in another setting.

To me, it's a mashup of X-files, E.T./Goonies(Spielberg-ish), Alien and Species. Good call on the Stephen King though (It, The Body (Stand by me)). You're exactly right. I really like how they've pulled off that 80's vibe while not overdoing it and getting all "That 70's show" with it. I've watched the whole season already and enjoyed it.

Not spectacular, but genuinely enjoyed it enough to recommend to others. I've always like Wynona Ryder, so she annoyed me less.

I'm in the minority here I guess. . I loved it. I finished in one day lol. I love the 80s and that soundtrack especially the entrance theme to me was great. . the kid actors were good . I'll agree that it wasn't Ryders best performance though
