Straw Poll: Week 2. Do you still want Romo?

Romo.

He has "it." He looks like he just wants it. And his mobility is an asset.

That TD pass was beautiful.

knowing parcells wont play romo unless theres a blowout, ill say romo is not anywhere near starting unless jerry really pushes for it..but i dont see that happening unless TO speaks to jerry lol..so until then drew is the guy..he didnt do bad today, he could have done better, but oh well a win is a win

Letting Romo come in and throw those passes says A LOT about what Parcells thinks of Romo.

it really does... no doubt a tool to prepare Romo and put Drew on notice.

I said Bledsoe last week. Why would I change my mind now?

I still like Romo better and I'm thrilled he got to actually play today.

Maybe because now that he has played he is mistake free and has a perfect passer rating.

:D

Romo

Didnt watch the second half, but from the highlights on NBC it looked like TO made some nice TD catches in spite of Bledsoe. The first half spoke for itself.

Naw, that would just be knee jerk and I can't fly like that.

Why didn't you watch the 2nd half?

Couldnt force myself to watch another minute of Drew Bledsoe dropping back to pass only to be sacked by air or overthrowing a wide open receiver. It had gotton to the point where I was almost rooting for him to screw up, just so he would get pulled. I didnt want to feel like I was rooting against Dallas, so I just tuned out.

HH, that isn't right man. I can't say I respect your stance on that. I just can't.

That's why I turned it off, I couldnt stand the thought of rooting against Dallas (which is what wanting Bledsoe to *** up is in turn doing).

I'll be watching next week and hoping either Romo plays or just be excited for the receivers who make the catches, because I literally am to the point where I can't even think about Drew Bledsoe without wanting to kill something

Exactly.

I would love to see Romo, but I know that won't happen unless one of two bad things occur.

1. Bledsoe has to be hurt. I would NEVER, NEVER wish injury upon any player. This is a game! This is the livelihood of the players. Wishing physical harm on a player is sickening to me.

2. We have to be playing so terribly, that Parcells has to turn to Romo. I can't imagine how anyone can CHEER for us to do badly. If we were vying for the first draft slot and knew we could get a big time QB with the first pick, I'd still root for us to win.

So, I'd like to see Romo....but I don't want to see one of the above situations.

That's just the problem, it shouldnt have to come to that. That TD Romo threw late in the game, Bledsoe would have been csacked on that play. He would have curled up and fallen down as soon as he turned around. Romo stepped up and made an athletic body turning throw.

Gotta agree Biz. HH doesn't strike me as a bandwagon fan, but that is how they act. I can't have my way so I'm going to hold my breath. We won and he sounds sour. That's selfish myopia, and I can't condone that.
