Huge issue. Hayden stinks. Marinelli needs his head examined if he keeps thinking Hayden is a worthy starter in this league. Watching him get shoved around yesterday by GB was embarrassing.

Crawford? I don't know what to think. He's been a big disappointment too but I wonder if he had a competent DT next to him, he'd be better. But he was clearly overpaid this offseason.

They need to invest, at a minimum in a real 1 tech with talent. Either draft a kid or make a smart free agent signing.

I have heard Crawford has a torn Rotator cuff or something like that he's trying to play though

Not sure why people have an issue with McFadden. He's cheap. He's been somewhat effective. Even if you go out and get another TB this offseason, he's probably a decent #2 option.

IMO Turbin will be number 2 after next season

You forgot to add Church.. Wilcox ,Street and church have to go. I'm on the fench with Hardy.. If we can overhaul the coaching staff...keep Hardy. But for the love of God.. Church has missed so many tackles, his ankles must be sore as can be

Hardy has to stay, the rest can go but McClain is a maybe............we need linebackers :(

I agree with this, except I don't think McClain should stay-guy sets the tone when he finds convenient reasons to miss training camp.

Does anyone really think if Hardy leaves in the off-season he's not going to have a great year somewhere? I'd really hate to see a premier pass rusher leave and go get 12-15 sacks somewhere else.

McClain won't get a long term contract anywhere. He's a complete wildcard who's renowned for being lazy. I'd sign him to another incentive deal, might as well.

Wilcox and Street can go kick rocks. Streets obviously not going anywhere, unless we somehow acquire a few more talented receivers. I doubt Wilcox is gone, just because he can be depth, but we need an upgrade there in the worst way.

Take off the Rose colored glasses. Hardy wasn't near worth the money he was paid for the year and he will want more next year. Hitches could easily replace McClain. McClain is unreliable and mentally unstable.

You're wrong when you say he wasn't near worth the money. Demarcus ware, Justin Houston are making 10 million and 16 million with 7 sack totals on the year. Julius peppers and Jared Allen are in the 7.5-8 million range with 7 sacks as well. Charles Johnson and Mario Williams are getting 19-20 million a year each. Starting DEs get paid. Hardy signed a 11.5 million contract with 5.5 sack and 1 int so far without playing 4 games due to suspension.

He's right on target for his salary.

All year Street has been a waste of a position. Its like we are playing 10 on 11 because Street has been a nonfactor when he is on the field. How is is getting reps on the offense over Bulter is a mystery.

Wilcox.-It never fails, He constantly is either in bad position or fails to make the tackle. Again it's like playing 10 against 11.

Hardy- While his play has been average, he is not worth the money or distractions. Im sure we can find a free agent for half of what he will cost. The only way i would bring him back is if nobody wanted to sign him and we got him cheap.

McClain- Was suspended for 4 games, came back over weight and out of shape and has never really been in it. Hes undependable and and too much of a basket case.

Wouldn't complain too much. Take Wilcox with Street who are on the verge of terrible or at least 2nd tier backups.

While McClain and Hardy are like a second part-time job, it's called baby sitting. Sure it's not that hard, but it doesn't pay well and there's not much room for growth short of opening your own Adult Day-Care diapers excluded.

Jumping to conclusion- if you're asking for those players to be gone then just add the entire team. The whole tam is pathetic even the owner and coaches... Just revamp the entire org.

That doesn't make me wrong it just says they are not worth the money they are getting paid either. No need to overspend on someone who gives 5.5 sacks. I'm all for bringing him back for 8 million range but not more then that.

We need more pop from the 1 tech DT. Period. We have a bunch of ends and 3Ts. We need a true FS badly. And likely need another CB and a Linebacker. On offense we need a replacement for Street and TWill. And yes a value QB pick in the middle rounds.

Street doesn't matter. He's a cog, not a playmaker, that can be churned with another cog.

Wilcox I'd love to see gone and upgraded over. He's just not good. Same with Church.

Hardy...if they can keep him without breaking the bank, and without a whole lot of extra BS, then I'm all for it. He is a player, without question. But I don't want to break the bank or have to deal with a bunch of BS from him. So this one all depends.

McClain I want to see return. I don't know why everyone hates this guy so much.

I do not think we would have to try very hard to improve upon Devin Street.

If we get rid of all those guys, then you're thinking rebuild. We're not that far off, guys. We had a lot of injuries to key players....Scandrick, Romo, Dunbar, Dez was out for awhile. Not many teams can survive that. If anything....Free has to go. He constantly gets beat. Maybe Green can replace him next season. I would like to keep McClain and Hardy. Street can be replaced by Brice Butler next season. I agree we need to get a beast of a DT to replace Hayden. I think Irving is going to be a beast. Wilcox should be kept around for depth but not as a starter. If we can replace McFadden...great. If not, keep him around. To me, in the draft we need to get a beast of a DT or RB in the first round. In the 2nd Rd, get a CB. In the 3rd....a QB to prepare for the future.

Heres the defensive splash play chart by sterm. Shows Hardy and McClain as very productive.
