I'm a little slow. So whoever has the 32nd ranked schedule, means it's an "easier" schedule? Or does that mean it's the "harder" schedule?

Dallas has the 2nd toughest schedule in terms of opposing defenses. The Raiders have the hardest.

Yeah, the NFL needs to change their schedule making "formula"

The Cowboys must compete versus the toughest schedule they've had in quite some time.

Hopefully, decent health would help to allow them to enjoy being at their best through it all.

Not sure what this chart means... Sporting news says middle of the pack for our schedule:

This isn't a schedule ranking based on records. It is about teams facing against the opposing defenses. Basically saying on average right now, the Cowboys have the 2nd toughest schedule based on their opposing defenses rankings.

The whole thing is dumb. Every year people get their panties in a wad over strength of schedule which has almost no bearing on how this years teams will perform. Last year it was “oh god, we have Jacksonville” and “the Colts should be an easy W”.

I’m sure there’s several other teams I’m forgetting about but the point is a lot of these teams aren’t the same as they were last year due to retirements (Gronk), trades, personnel moves, HC moves (AZ and Tampa) and so on. Basically this chart means nothing and next year we can look back on it and I highly doubt it will turn out we had the hardest schedule based on defenses. Same dung every year.

Just for giggles, here’s one from last year but I know it can’t be true because the Giants only won 3 games the year before and they were supposed to have a tougher schedule than us, Commanders as well. There’s no way Goodell would let us off the hook, the NFL always screws us by handing our division rivals the advantage. Right @America's Cowboy

Bottom line, I don't trust Baddell...at all. I know he hates the Cowboys. He picks his cronies to help him run the show and pick schedules. He has screwed us over so many times, and he will not stop. Yet, many Cowboys fans will keep on making excuses for that snake.

LOL. These are based on PFF "GRADES".

This is about as goofy a way to quantify SOS as exists.

Last year's win % is much more common and reasonable. And the 15th there is very fair.
But a deeper dive suggests DAL should feel pretty good given the 15th is largely because they face LAR, NO, NE, CHI.
The fact they play so many teams with bad records to drag that done to middle is a very nice boon. --in another words going 11-5 (with 4 losses to good teams) is much better than playing a bunch of toss up games and going 9-7.

Put another way DAL will face an exorbitant number of teams without a franchise QB including the first 3 weeks of the season.
But I'd argue none of these games are versus franchise QBs: WASx2, NYGx2, BUF, NYJ, MIA
BUF/NYJ could step forward and become franchise guys and MIN has a guy who fell way off last year plus hasn't beaten DAL very often at all.
CHI has a kid who is prolly a step behind Dak but they won a ton last year so I left them off.

All in all I feel very good about this defense and this team versus team's that lack a stud QB.

I don’t like him either but I’ve already given you two separate examples of scheduling from 2017 and 2018 that completely contradict what you’re saying. Seriously, how can you say he favors divisional rivals with scheduling when I just showed you proof that says otherwise? Why did the Giants have a tougher schedule on paper last year after they won 3 games the year before? What about in 2017 when the Giants played more teams coming off a bye than anyone else, including playing us after we had 10 days rest? Why did the Commanders have a tougher schedule than us last year when they won a lot less games?

A tougher schedule for them...when? At the end of the season after those supposed tougher opponents for us got beaten by other teams, thus making it look as easier opponents?

If I remember correctly, before the season started last year, the Cowboys had the 3rd toughest 2018 schedule. Harder than any division opponents. Are you suddenly moving the goal posts?
