too much goofiness in the dc.com interviews. i know it might sound stupid but i watch those interviews every week and i can tell with the team is pissed. the team plays better pissed. there was too much of a goofy vibe from the interviews this week. scandrick started praising himself, romo was more talkative with the media than his normal short self. i remember after a big win last year (cant remember which one) but romo called into the ben/skin show in the middle of the next week for an interview. i remember thinking i've never seen him do that and it worried me. next game we got beat. i know it sounds stupid and i understand a lot of the blame is on the dfw media for their rollercoaster love/hate for team but i think i have a good sense about emotional state and focus of the team. i have a bad feeling about this game.
its become predictable. dfw media rags on the team, they respond. dfw media treats them like kings all week, they get complacent. this game worries me 100x more than the broncos game.
too much cockiness and over confidence at VR and in the fanbase right now. i don't like what i've seen and heard from the players all week. i can smell the letdown coming. my gut is telling me chargers win.

Get these skally wags out of our way and bring on the Broncos. We win convincingly and easily.
38-17 Cowboys.
Idk why Romo is considered a "choker" and Rivers isn't. Rivers is trash!
I don't think you're crazy at all. I've noticed over the years that often when the fan base and media are overconfident and looking ahead to the following week, the team is, too.
Just human nature that they'd think the same way as everyone else, I guess. But everyone around here plus the media crowning us after two wins isn't a great sign.

Zordon, serious question - when is the last time you had a really positive post about the Cowboys?
I can't say that I've noticed any correlation between the attitude of the team in interviews and winning or losing. From what I've seen, we've just struggled with consistency and turnovers, across the board, and have played a lot of teams that were comparable to our own. I don't think it's more complicated than that.
In any event, the objective is to get a team that's capable of playing consistently regardless of whether or not they won the week before. Good teams have to do that well, so, if we want to really be a good team, we're going to have to learn to execute as well when we're confident as we do when we're being doubted.
I think this will be another tough game--they all are--but this is a game that we should be able to win. It sets up favorably for the offense to have another big day. It's going to be a great test for our pass defense.

I don't get how people can think any game will be a cake walk with how inconsistent this team has been over the last few years.I don't get why some you guys think this will be a cake walk.
Tell me about this "cockiness" at VR. I'm overwhelmed by curiosity.
How are they in Dallas.
who are you picking?
