Last week I felt bad about the Chiefs loss, until Thursday Night Football and I saw the Chiefs handle Philly and thought to myself maybe this team isn't as bad as a 1 point road loss felt.

This week I felt great about beating down the Rams, until Thursday Night Football and I saw how bad the Rams are. This is going to be a much tougher game than most people are expecting. Rivers has looked very solid and the Chargers just haven't been able to finish teams off. But this will be the biggest test of our defense so far this season.

Seems like a very similar test as the giants. Ny had a suspect running game and so does sd, they had nicks, Cruz, randle and Myers. Sd has royal, gates, green and woodhead.

It's a good offense. We should know all we need to because of ortons history with it. Gates is almost impossible to stop.

It's a big challenge for the defense but if we can get a lead and make them one dimensional it seems we could have our way with them up front.

too much cockiness and over confidence at VR and in the fanbase right now. i don't like what i've seen and heard from the players all week. i can smell the letdown coming. my gut is telling me chargers win.

This week I felt great about beating down the Rams, until Thursday Night Football and I saw how bad the Rams are. This is going to be a much tougher game than most people are expecting. Rivers has looked very solid and the Chargers just haven't been able to finish teams off. But this will be the biggest test of our defense so far this season.

It's a league filled with parity. And, even when it isn't, another team can still jump up and get you. The only thing you can do is get good at the things that win football games, and then keep cutting down on the mistakes that lose them, because games are going to come down to 3-4 big plays. You just gotta chop wood for 17 weeks and then see where you're at.

Not sure why folk seem to be expecting an easy win. The 2 games San Diego have lost they lost as time expired and with 15 seconds to go. Yes they blew a 21 point lead but they also built it in the first place. I expect a close game and hopefully Dallas can get it done with a wee bit more time to spare than Houston and Tennessee.

Ok? We can thrash the Titans and lets be honest the Ravens ain't too much to brag about.

I wonder if there's a stat out there that shows how many games Rivers has lost in the fourth quarter. Seems the dude has a penchant for throwing away leads and wins in the 4th. I could be way off on this.........

I think I saw on their forum that Rivers has lost 22 games due to a turnover and Romo has lost 10. Don't quote me, but pretty sure thats what it was.

Its not like I'm talking about 1968. The core of this team has been wildly inconsistent, and that includes Romo, Ware and whoever else. Have they shown signs of improvement? Sure. Is there reason for optimism? Sure. But the only way to make any sorts of valid predictions about the future is by finding patterns in the past. The only pattern this team has established looks like an freaking EKG

If we lose to the Chargers we will be at 2-2 and will most likely lose to Denver. Denver is really tough in Denver.
We really need to win in SD to stay ahead of the game. With a win it will confirm the positive attitude of the fans and tell us a lot about the team, but if we lose it will also tell us a lot about the team - and none of it good.

Their receivers are comparable to the Rams or Chiefs, not Giants, IMO.

It matters more who's throwing them the ball (though I agree with you that the WRs aren't in the same class as the Giants'). That SD passing offense is effective right now. I agree with theebs that this is going to be a game that plays out the way the Giants game did. It's going to be two good passing teams and the winner is going to be the one that makes the fewest mistakes in the passing game. Let's see some more sacks and some more takeaways. Tackle well, and strip the ball.

Nope, but coupled with gates who is as good and as difficult to matchup with they are a good offense.

The passing game is working really well, as a unit it is very good. Individual players vs players is not what matters. If it was we would have beat kc by 20.

And in no way is this passing game comparable to the rams, can't carry their jock as you put it.

This chargers offense and team are all fired up for this game. The San Diego media has already said a win oer Dallas is a big win because of who they are. That is the vibe you can feel when you watch this stuff and listen to them this week.

Plus they are touting the fact that McCoy was on the panthers staff and it went 9-5 against kiffens defense when they played. Not to mention whisenhut has beat us a bunch of times, mostly on defense but still.

Rivers is playing great only manning has been better.
