One reason why I am not as critical of Micah Parsons public comments--as I would probably be for another player--is that they are the exact kind of rhetoric that steals media attention from someone like Jerry Jones. And one thing narcissists detest is not being the only one in the spotlight.

Our offensive line is the biggest strength of this team if everyone can stay healthy. It would rank top five. Our pass rushing unit and pass defense our our other strengths. Our punter kicks *** too.

I don't really track other teams O-lines. The chiefs looked downright dominant in the SB, but other than them and philly, who else has a strong o-line?

I just wish he would limit them before he says something that he regrets. Things can be twisted on a dime

i understand that he has every right to do so but with social media less is better.

Our defense I am happy with and keeps us in contention.
Our offense excluding the offline and lamb (who in my eyes is an upgraded #2 WR) is a dumpster fire and needs to be upgraded or gutted!!
P.S. Yes that includes MR. Pollard as well due to his injury.

Bland, TE core, Tyler, and DQ staying.

I have more concerns than accolades particularly on ST and offense (and no it's not all about the QB).

My thoughts....you think too much....thus forum used to be great, positive etc....it'd become negativity and questioning...

To answer your question...I feel we have many strengths...we need a couple of more weapons on offense, we need to restructure Zeke...letting him go with the dead money is stupid...at the end of the day, we won 12 games..two years in a row. Anyone that doesn't appreciate that probably never strapped on a helmet.

Yeah I'm not getting the logic behind having a 6 million dollar a year dead cap hit for NOT having Zeke instead of paying him 6 million a year to actually play for you. Zeke may not be what he once was but he was the #1 short yardage and goal line back in the league for the second straight year and remains the best blocking back in the league by a fair margin. The beating he has been subjected to in Kellen Moore's all runs must be up the middle run offense and from throwing his body in front of blitzers because the line was leaky the last several years may have done irreparable damage ... but the push to throw a guy out with the trash who has given so much of himself the franchise puzzles and irritates me. Obviously getting hurt on the knee two years in a row needs to be instructional. Dude can't give you a full season at 100% anymore.. but two years in a row he was sailing along just fine and was very productive before getting dinged. But football players get dinged... and the older they get the more the dings take out of them and the longer it takes for them to make it back close to 100%. Especially in season. The Cowboys need to figure out the best way to handle the Zeke situation... but cut him and east dead cap does really seem like the best thing to me. But I admit I'm biased.. I like running backs and I love tough hard nosed football players.

I'd probably hafta say the collection of pass rushers- Parsons, Lawrence, Armstrong, Williams and Fowler( for last year anyway)

I'd say safety, as a group. But they are getting older. So I think it's important to add a guy.

Just my two cents. Going into the offseason, I think we are "strong enough" at cornerback, defensive end, linebacker, safety and tight end to devote more emphasis and draft/free agency resources at all other positions.

Leadership is more tricky. It takes many forms and is more intricate than generalizations that observers often apply. Take Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott as examples from the offensive and defensive units. On one hand, Parsons utilizes a mixture of leadership qualities such as pacesetting (allows individual level of performance to establish a group standard) and transformative (extremely vocal in emphasizing a positive group change). On the other hand, Prescott uses democratic (promotes unanimity among a group) and affirmative (creates positive psychological coalition among a group) leadership traits.

Both men are team leaders but approach their roles in different ways. Neither man's influences are worse than the other. And both are not the sole leaders on the team. People on the outside looking in often spot and isolate who they determine are obvious leaders and miss others who often employ other forms of leadership that may be more subtle.

Additionally, leadership does not begin or end with players. It extends to coaching and management as well. That is a vital observation in a team sport. Football, in particular, is an activity mainly overseen by coaching, which leadership attributes are commonly transactional (fostering performance improvement through encouragement and discipline) and autocratic (exclusivity over decision-making). It is coaching leadership that I occasionally harp upon here because of Jerry Jones' hyper-activity, in both the public eye and privately with the team, bleeds into coaching's daily influence, which should be total in scope. Too many cooks in the kitchen is never a good thing.

During 2022, the team demonstrated it can both excel with its potential and stumble with the efficiency necessary to compete and beat opponents decisively. As far as leadership is concerned, I believe the 'first step' that the team must take first involves Jones making a personal sacrifice by taking a backseat. That action would allow his team to manufacture its own identity separate from what he constantly aggrandizes into every camera and microphone directed his way. Getting out of his own way would allow ALL the leaders on his team to take full charge. It is an intangible that has been missing from Dallas teams that have taken the field for a long, LONG time.
You're right on the leadership stuff. I studied some of that because of the program I was in at Texas.

A lot of what you're saying is true. I think the most effective leader on the team is Jayron Kearse.

We're deep with pass rushers on the dline.

We've got no depth at all on the oline, but are very good to great with starters depending on Tyron.
Smith and Steele are two very strong run blockers, with Smith looking coming in to being a great pass blocker too. Just a great pick. In fact, so was Steele. Three strong positions. That's a good base.
Zack is one of the best of all time. Biadasz disappointed. I could see drafting a C high.
The pivot from good to great is Tyron. His ceiling at this point is probably Elite but not All Pro. But that ceiling is still quite likely. If he's basically healthy he's 4-8 in the league. I think we keep him at 13.5mil. Maybe extend him. Maybe cut him. Could be anything.
But Tyron back would give us 4 very good olinemen, and a below average but not horrible C with Biadasz.
Some *big* centers in the draft this year. We need interior oline depth. I could see picking a big one as a G/C backup to develop into a starter. Maybe 2.
Keep Tyron and draft a C early enough to supplant Biadasz, and we've got a very very good starting oline.

The guy spent the season experimenting with players finding strengths and weaknesses then put together a defense for the playoffs.
Guys totally bought into his coaching style and left it on the field, gang tackled, and knew their responsibilities.
Can't wait until he takes over.
