Stroud rolls ankle in practice

What office are you running for again?
Actually, the post came out about us taking on the best of the best.. I agree with that.

Then the post comes out, who cares if they are hurt, they're not going to allow us to beat them if we go down with injuries.. And I agree with that too. The bottom line is, we need to know how we really stack up against big NTs like that, because every team will not have 2 studs down like that, and I guess I'm the only one not scared of 2 fat guys in the middle.. I guess I'm the only one though.

F that injuries are a part of the game. Do you think opponents felt any less satisfaction when they shut down our O becasue of two weak tackles last year ( Tucker and Rob)?

Do you think fans cared that Flozell was out and we were starting a rookie 6th round tackle. Please.

Some did, some probably didn't. That's the way it goes with the world.

But, let's say we make the super bowl and play the colts. In a strange twist of fate, a bunch of ecoli or something gets in their water a day before the game, and all the colt's players get sick. So, the colt's cheerleaders have to suit up instead and we of course beat them 100 gazillion to el-zippo. Would this be an awesome win for us?

I don't think so.

I've always believed that to be the best, you have to beat the best.

I was just kidding around with the political remark. :)

I want to see where this team is too, hence my wanting to play teams at their best.

if both Stroud n Peterson miss the game and we still cant run the ball then im gonna be worried. but with both of them possibly being out i like our chances of having a good run day. Well that n a lot of Bledsoe to T.O and Glenn

Injuries are a part of the game.

Teams never play each other with both sides 100% healthy.

If that was the case . . . rosters would consist of 25 players. 11 on offense, 11 on defense, and 3 specialists.

The NFL is about depth . . .

This season . . . we WILL lose players to injuries.

So if we get a break (pun intended) and we get to play an opponent who is missing a player of Strouds stature because of injury . . . then that is good for us.

If that fact prevents you from truly enjoying the victory . . . then you have issues.

Do you really think 10 years from now . . . people will look back at this win (assuming we win) and say "Yeah, but the Jags didn't have Stroud that game!

Seems like we have some folks from Philadelphia on the board. If you want to cheer Michael Irvin's injury, do it quietly, please.

See, that one was a career-ending injury. Get the difference?

So....

No Peterson
No Stroud
Darius coming off a serious knee injury

I'm not think their defense will be all that "vaunted" come kickoff time

yeah but come on "great news'? I don't think it was great news :/

I do. I think it's an excellent "turn" of events.

Quit being a bleeding heart. This is football for goodness sake.

Gotta admit, it won't hurt my feelings one bit if he ends up playing on a bad wheel which makes him less than effective.

For all intents and purposes, Flo is gonna be playing on a bad wheel as well. I think this even things out.

Gotta separate the individual from the team, guys. Sucks for the player, great for us. I'm sorry for him; I'm happy for us. It's that simple; it's that okay.
