I bet SD is looking pretty good to Eli right now :D
Everyone's looking to be in the spotlight. He could've had his own spotlight in SD, because when you're winning, and you're a Manning, the spotlight follows you, you dont' have to go searching for it.

How sweet it is. :D

Too bad against our Zimmer lead defense Manning turns into Unitas.

Kind of makes you wonder if we kept the right coaches. What the saints are doing with the likes of Terrance Copper, Scott Fujita, and Scott Shanle should be illegal.

I have not been a huge Zimmer critic in all the time I have been here. It has been my belief that Zimmer and Parcells are on the same page defensively. The bend...but don't break... philosophy has been at the core of our defense for many years now.

We have invested a huge number of high draft pics...and the associated dollars on the defense for many years now. We have talented players at virtually every position. Statistically we do well....but lack in one critical area...pass defense. We can not generate a pass rush from supposedly the deepest area of our team, the LB's. Not only can we not generate a pass rush...we give up key passing plays to FB's!!!

All of this is incredibly frustrating, and probably deadly against playoff caliber teams. The breakdowns come down to players...and coaching. The performance of the Saints defense...getting big performances from players released from the Cowboys indicates it is NOT a problem with our players. What is left? Scheme and coaching. Losing Greg Ellis can not be a sufficient excuse for the perfomance we have seen from our defense.

Maybe our defense will step up today. But regardless of whether they do or not, I think we need a breath of fresh air to our defensive scheme. It's time to try something new...and to do that we need a new DC.

Eli: 9/25 for 74 w/ a 55 yard TD!

Take that 1 away and he completed 8 for 19 yards. Wow!

It's funny a couple of weeks ago ESPN was warming the annointing oil saying he had a great game against Dallas despite the loss. But BSPN hasn't talked much about Eli's passing yards. 19 minus that 55yarder on 24attempts (0.79 avg/pass). Not all him, his receivers sucked MAJOR butt too but its his stats that get crapped on.

The Giants are 1-6 their last 7 games. In that stretch Eli has 8TDs to 9INTs.

Yeah, really.

As much as I wanted the Saints to win, i couldnt help but feel giddy as a schoolgirl watching the Giants lose.

Shockey dropping that 4th and 2 was classic.

Did I hear right they had, yet another, players only type meeting?? Or some kind of stand up and be a man meeting? :lmao2:

Take a look at some of the pathetic stats the Giants put up in this game:

First downs: 6

Third Down conversions: 0-10

Time of possession: 19.26

Shockey: 2 recpts for -3 yards

This is just the tip of the horrific iceberg. Yikes! :lmao:

Well I wish I could say that the Saints beat the Giants but the truth is the Giants didn't even show up. Did you know that NY didn't even cross the 50 yard line except for one very long TD pass where the CB fell down.

Don't worry, Dallas Chicago and NO is the class of the NFC.
Glad you guys are still in it. I trust you will get by the wildcard game.
